Yamato-Class No. 111 – IJN Kii

by Roland Cheney

Yamato-Class No. 111 – IJN Kii

“La Palma is an unstable mountain waiting to fall, perched high above the Atlantic and standing right at the edge of a tipping point. Ready to let go at any moment. We are here to give it a nudge.”

â??Captain Takada, Commanding Officer of IJN Kii.

She sang and moved, gently swayed and stooped and turned, executing the moves to the ancient dance as the shimasen player strummed the three strings expertly. Aya’s lilting, haunting voice sang in sweet accompaniment, sometimes youthful, and sometimes almost like an aged crone. The melody was not difficult for Aya at all, for she knew every word, every note, every move by heart from earliest childhood.

The old man had unexpectedly begun blinking as if something were bothering his eyes, and then suddenly without warning he actually broke down and began sobbing and totally losing his self-aplomb.

“I do not know why the old man was so upset with my performance.” Aya looked up at the people in the room as she concluded her story. She blinked back tears as she concluded bitterly, “I am just a terrible, ill-mannered person.”

They were all staring back at her with deeply troubled looks.

“Those people.” Captain Takada shook his head slowly. “They were all fools.” Then he added mildly but critically, while looking around at everyone, with the notable exception of Aya-chan herself, “As are all of you.”

They all looked back at him in astonishment.

“Eh?! How do you mean, Uncle?” Aya-chan was mystified, but he returned her look with the fondest of gazes, as if he had not meant to include her in his last remark.

“I know why the old man cried.” Captain Takada said slowly, almost sage-like but in more of a no-nonsense manner.

An Introduction by Dave Norman…

Originally titled “The Greatest Civil War Lie Ever Told,” read this book and decide for yourself whether it is fact or fiction. An alarming tale of deceit, danger and betrayal both during and after the Civil War, is it fact or fiction? What appears at first to be one lie expands into a far reaching expose of conpiracy, deception and threats on many levels.

Written by Will Bevis as the first of at least four books on the subject it will grab your attention from the first page and not only keep your attention but will pique your curiosity and raise questions in your mind as to whether or not the vast majority of Americans have yet heard the truth about the most tragic period in U.S. History and the consequences which affect us all even today.

Warning! Once you begin reading this book you will find it very hard to put down until you have consumed the whole text.

Dave Norman.
