Meanwhile, their curmudgeonly wicked neighbor, Oswald Pennytinker, arrives in a beat up old trunk of his own, attempting to steal the King’s treasures.

Through action, humor and adventure, readers will be introduced to the twins’ eccentric inventor father, Clark, post-punk, fashion savvy mother, Isabella, and our galactic guides and fraternal twins: Cooper and his younger sister (only by 11 seconds but who’s counting?) Alyx!

Hold on tight as the Sprocketeers journey “time after time” through limitless time-traveling missions from present to past to future and beyond in their “magic hour”, time-altering antique chest that’s tucked away in the family attic (shhhâ?¦) AKAâ?¦”The Box.”

Let the colorful illustrations suck you into the world of the turbulent twins’ and their discovery of the magic gifts the time travel Box from their parents’ attic hold.

When they climb inside The Box, their mission will be revealed.

The duo, along with their loyal “pet” Rivet – an automaton metal spider fashioned like an eight-legged Swiss army knife – trek through time, overcoming historic and futuristic obstacles from the dawn of earth – to dinosaur girth – to doing battle with Martian bands and in this first book, saving the treasures of the Egyptian pyramids.

THE SPROCKETEERS: “Great Giza Gonzo” is the first in the twins series, a high-octane trip through time, fueled by imagination, the magic hour, and riddled with the type of problem solving only this tenacious team of pre-teen twins could provide.

So, power your flux capacitors, button down your hyper loops, fire up your hot tube time machines and get ready to think outside “The Box” with our time traveling twins Cooper and Alyx, “The Sprocketeers”, in their first adventure book Great Gizo Gonzo.

It grew up to 8 feet and 110 pounds.
It ran really fast and could see in the dark.
Its sharp claws were dangerous to much larger dinosaurs.

It grew up to 59 feet and weighed 21 tones.
It was the largest meat-eating dinosaur – larger than T. Rex.

The Three Dinosaur Periods
Dinosaurs lived in the Age of the Reptiles beginning 245 million years ago and lasted for 180 million years, which can be divided into 3 periods.

Period 1: Triassic 245 – 208 million years ago
– Dinosaurs didn’t appear until late in Triassic.
– All the land on Earth was together as a supercontinent “Pangaea”, but slowly started to break up.
– This period ended with the Mass Extinction that wiped out most animals and reptiles.

The Christmas Hayride of Doom: A Funny Dog Book for Kids (The World According to Perdita Whacknoodle)

by Jim Gibson

Perdita Whacknoodle Is Back With NEW Christmas Stories For This Year

Just in time for Christmas, the world’s oddest dog-author presents two NEW stories from her outrageous and wacky family,

In these two funny dog stories about Perdita’s father, “Par Whack,” you’ll see that he does his very, very best to bring holiday cheer to the townspeople of Dahlonegee.

Why Can’t People Be More Like Dogs?

Perdita, who tells these stories about her crazy relatives and dog friends, wants to help humans be happier. She thinks learning to be more like dogs is just what people need.

So, no matter how outlandish Par’s actions are in these stories, Perdita is convinced that readers can learn important lessons from reading themâ??and learn to be more like dogs–from her father, Par!

In the first story in this book, Par gets his dog quartet of singers back together to prepare a holiday concert for the entire town. He even writes new words to “improve” one of the old human Christmas songs.

(You’ll probably find yourself singing Par’s words this year because, as Perdita says, “he put lots of food into the verses” to make it better for the holidays.)

The Christmas Hayride of Doom

When his first ideaâ??the Christmas concertâ??turns into a disaster, Par comes up with ANOTHER way to celebrate at the town’s big Christmas festival!

But before the evening is over, he’s done battle with his sworn enemy, Mr. Wimpy AND the town’s policemen, too. What’s more, the police chief learns a lesson about what happens when you try to catch Par Whack.

Perdita is convinced that her family is the smartest dog family in the world, and she REALLY believes that her wacky stories teach people important lessons.

Do you think so? Could Perdita be right?

Or do you think Perdita and the Whacknoodle family are all crazy?

AND . . . do you think YOUR dog could think like Perdita Whacknoodle?

One thing is for sure. There are lots of dog books, and thousands of heart-warming stories about dogs that you could read.

But there’s NEVER been a collection of stories like Perdita’s. That’s because there’s never been a DOG like Perdita Whacknoodle.

And when you’ve finished these stories, we think you’ll agree that, maybeâ??just maybeâ??Perdita is at least partly right.

Maybe humans COULD learn a few important lessons from dogs about how to be happy at Christmas!

Read The Christmas Hayride of Doom right now and see what you think!

Love

A simple, but overwhelming story, for children of all ages.

It’s been 60 years since Italian artist Gian Berto Vanni illustrated and designed Love, in 1954, one of the most original illustrated books of all times, turned into cult masterpiece by its readers.

Through subtle strokes and vibrant layers of colors, Vanni displays a road that captures the reader in each of its details: “I had an idea of color in time: to create rhythm of color in time and space, which would be like animation”.

Originally published in more than 10 countries (France, United Stated, Portugal, Italy, Finland, Germany and Japan, among others), Love’s digital version, adapted from its original version, is an unique opportunity to give a message of love to someone … or to oneself. What Is That? (Great Answers! Books for Kids)

by Ann Snow

Play a game and learn to read kindergarten words! Early readers will enjoy learning new words in this interactive book.

As your favorite child completes this book, he or she learns 78 new, easy-to-read words.

Each game page features kindergarten words with a different letter of the alphabet, from A to Z.

On each game page, your child will see a photo and three easy-to-read words. (Every word is on the standard kindergarten reading list. Every word is easy to “sound out” or recognize as a sight word. They’re words like: Ant, Ball, Cat, Duck, and so on.)

Next, the child selects the word that matches the photo.
The words are clearly different, so there’s no confusion. (For example, the words by the photo of the duck are: Duck, Doll, and Dog.)

  • When the child selects the wrong word, the next page says to try again. The link returns the child to the game page for that letter.
  • When the child selects the correct word, the answer page shows another fun photo matching that word. Then, the link on that page takes the child to the next letter of the alphabet.

This continues all the way from A to Z.

Each photo — usually, a cute animal photo — can spark a conversation, if the child is reading the book with a parent, teacher, or other child.  That makes this learning experience more fun.

After the game is complete, the child can play again and again, gaining confidence in the words he or she has learned.

This book features:

  • 78 easy-to-read words from the kindergarten word list.
  • 52 photos, mostly cute animals to delight every child.
  • Links on every page so the child is an active part of the game.
  • A linked alphabet at the start of the book, so the child can pick up where he or she left off, or revisit favorite words and photos.
  • A congratulations page at the conclusion, so the child feels a sense of accomplishment.

This is an easy, fun way for beginner readers to learn new words. Help your favorite child learn to read. Get this book today.

A modern zoo should be a lot more than a place to look at animals. Zoodoo is a privately owned zoo near Hobart, the capital of the Australian island State of Tasmania.

This book is illustrated with over 50 pictures which children of all ages should enjoy.

A visit to a zoo should be educational and we hope this book will help to educate older children about some of the animals.

We see many animals including:

  • A Peacock and a Peahen
  • A Golden Brushtail Possum
  • Albino Wallabies
  • Tasmanian Devils
  • Lions
  • A Tiger
  • A Boa Constrictor
  • A Lace Monitor
  • Meerkats
  • Wombats
  • A Koala
  • Coloured Sheep
  • Camels
  • Emus
  • Ostriches
  • Alpacas
  • Llamas
  • Monkeys
  • Guinea Pigs
  • Rabbits
  • Bantams
