Luke has two secrets not even his best friends know. The first is he aches for Sabrina with every fiber of his being. The second is he loves her enough to spare her the heartbreak that being his wife would undoubtedly entail. Much to Luke’s dismay, his resolve to resist his buddy’s fiancée is tested after Sabrina steps in as his nurse and starts prancing around in nothing but his threadbare T-shirt. If he surrenders to her seduction, it may destroy his relationship with BJ. And, worse still, if he gets a taste of loving Sabrina, how can he ever stand by and let her marry his friend?

I Was: (A Paranormal Historical Work of Fiction Inspired by the True Life Story of Anna Madgigine Jai Kingsley And Her Life as an African Princess, Slave and Plantation Owner)

by K.A. Michaels

Anna Madgigine Jai Kingsley. Though there is precious little written about her in the history books, her true life story is one of great magnitude, interest and inspiration. Born in 1793 in West Africa, her inner strength and ability of unbound proportion combined with an acute sense of intuitiveness, carries her from her early life as an African Princess through the bitter turmoil of kidnapping, captivity and enslavement to become a free, black plantation and slave owner in East Florida.

The gripping and painful reality of Anna’s life and slavery in early America is the true life inspiration for this fictional work that is creatively brought into present day 2014 as 25 year old Rylind Corliss, an editor at the Jacksonville Post Gazette, begins to wonder if she’s losing her mind. Plagued by horrific nightmares, she sets off in a desperate search for the cause of them. What she finds are chilling and mind boggling similarities between her nightmares and the actual life of the African Princess turned slave named Anna Madgigine Jai Kingsley. Determined to find out more and, more importantly – why she is having the nightmares; Rylind’s efforts lead her to Anna’s former home in Florida – Kingsley Plantation. It is there she meets the ghost of Anna and learns the origins of the nightmares along with a life changing discovery that defies logic and belief. If you are a Paranormal fiction and History fan, this book delivers a seldom seen combination of both intertwined into one captivating, all engaging read.

I got arrested this weekend.

Sheila went to jail for possession of crack cocaine and intent to distribute. This was last weekend.

I got arrested on Monday. The cops found basically everything I had, which included 37 pills of X, a bag of ketamine, a baseball bat and a ton of prescription pills that I had no scrip for.

Like an idiot, I basically admitted to them that I sold X and had the bat in case something got hectic and I needed to protect myself.

I got arrested on 4 felonies, serious ones too. Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, another possession of a controlled substance, illegal possession of pharmaceutical depressants, and possession of an illegal weapon.

I’m going to jail. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll be going to jail. I spent about a day and a half in a holding cell already before my parents bailed me out.

I’m so f***ed, I can’t even believe this is happening. My life could quite possibly be over. I mean, what can I do about this? I’m already trying to do things that’ll hopefully show the court that I want to change. Shit like signing up for narcotics anonymous, trying to get a job (I quit my job last week), finishing school, um what elseâ?¦I don’t know. I really can’t think right now.

I had to move back in with my parents in La Quinta too. My uncle and his family don’t want me living there anymore, and to be honest I don’t know if I want to live in LA. Too much temptation.

Jesus christ, I don’t want to go to jail, but right now I’m about 99 percent positive that’s where I’m going. Unless my lawyer can get me off on a technicality or some shit, but that’s doubtful. The officer that arrested me did everything by the book because he was with a relatively new officer and he wanted to make sure he did everything right.

Secret Admirer

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

What will Jack write about today? Will it be about his adventures at Powerhouse? Maybe he talked to a crackhead on the street for 15 minutes about his life story. Maybe he had a dream he was a giant space hamster from planet China. Or maybe, just maybe, he’ll go into a diatribe about why you suck and he rules.

What does the future hold for Jack?

Woke up, didn’t work out today like I planned. I’ve been doing that a lot lately. Planning on working out in the morning, then either oversleeping or just lying in bed and being like Nahhhh f*** it, I’m going back to sleep.

Yeah. Today was gay. Didn’t do anything interesting. Slept in till 7:30. Got up, went to class. Mythology was easy. He talked about Freud mostly. Id, superego, ego. S*** I’ve heard since I’ve been in college about, I would say, 50 million billion zillion times. It was still interesting though. Every time they talk about Freud I learn something new. That motherf***er was crazy.

So that was first period. Second was geography. Snore. The teacher always looks like she just woke up. Always trails off, like she either doesn’t know what she’s talking about or doesn’t remember or is too f***ing tired to teach this damn class again to a bunch of f***ing CSUN students who could really give a f***. And that s*** is boring too. I mean today we talked about the earth’s axis, the ice age, and why we have seasons. F*** me dude, is that s*** boring or what?

Then I had an hour break until my next class. Went to the library and read a chapter in my biology book. I had 3 more I need to read by tomorrow morning. I have a midterm tomorrow. Somehow, it’s the fifth week of class already. F***ing semester system. I don’t even know what’s going on. I’m 3 chapters behind and I need to read them I guess.

I don’t even care, honestly. I can just skim that s*** and probably get a decent grade. I don’t even care what kind of grades I get as long as I pass the class. F***ing a, feels like I’ve been in school my whole life. Which, I actually have. It’s going to be weird when I finally graduate. If. I probably will, but still, it doesn’t seem immediate. It’s not impending.

So yeah, that’s about as much as I can stretch that topic. So had a break. Went to my 11 o’clock class. There’s this f***ing cute ass Russian girl that sits next to me in my 11 o’clock class. She’s so cute, so cute. I can’t stress that enough.

I swear, I fall in love like 10 times a day. Like today, I probably fell in love 10 times. I don’t even have to like the person. Sometimes I don’t like the person. Sometimes I don’t even have to TALK to the person! Just share a look or something. I’m a dork.

The Accidental Zionist Vol 7: How I quit my life in America and joined the Israeli army

by Jack Diamond

The Accidental Zionist

Looking for a purpose in life beyond getting high and going to college, a young twenty-something finds Judaism in an unlikely encounter with a local chapter of Chabad. Impulsive and inwardly focused, he wrote everything down as his mind battles itself in an attempt to make a difficult decision.

His choices:

Finish college, get a 9-5 job and live a normal life in America.

Or brave the unknown, “making aliyah,” and move to Israel under the Law of Return where every Jew is entitled automatic citizenship to the Jewish State.

The only thing that stands in his way are a typical overprotective Jewish mother, a predisposition to taking nearly any drug he can get his hands on, and some unfortunate run-ins with the law.

Hiroshima Godzilla!

Monday, February 13, 2006

The dream I had last night:

I had just gotten out of prison. I was walking in this big open area. People were lined up, probably about 1000 people. Standing kind of military style. Not like standing at attention, just the way they were lined up. Evenly spaced, know what I mean?

They were all standing there and I was walking towards them. I think I was late. There was someone at the front, facing all the people who were lined up. He was calling out names. When he would call out a name, someone would walk to the front and he’d hand them an envelope.

I heard my name get called and started walking toward the speaker. Somehow I got lost in the mass of people, so finally I just asked someone, “Did they call my name?”

The guy turns toward the front and is like, “Let me get Jack Diamond’s envelope.”

They pass my envelope along and hand it to me. I walk to the front to talk to the speaker.

At this point, I realized that I had special powers. I could run really fast and jump really high. So I JUMPED like 50 feet in the air toward the speaker. He doesn’t see me. From there I just walk over to him. He looks at me and doesn’t say anything. We’re just standing there.

I squat down and jump HIGH into the air again, just to show him what I could do. I come down and he looks at me like he’s afraid.

He says, “Impressive.”

Then for some reason I went to see my family. Only now, I had two little sisters! I knew in my head that when I came back, I was going to get my family back on the right track. My dad was dead, I think. My mom was dating the speaker from the prison. And my two little sisters looked like little skanks. Too much makeup, slutty clothes.

My mom isn’t home, she’s out with the speaker. I’m talking to my two little sisters about getting all our lives together but they don’t want to hear any of it. The younger one starts to walk away from me and I move in front of her. She tries to move around me and I grab her forearm and kind of pull her close to me, just to get her attention. Like, you know, like you see in the movies. The guy pulls the girl by the arm and she’s like Ahhh you’re hurting me! Except, when I did it with her, she got this look on her face like F***, I can’t pull my tricks with him, he means business.

Then I think I woke up.

Thailand Awaits: The Essential Guide for Moving to Thailand

by Steve Walters

Moving across town can be stressful enough, but what about moving half way around the world? With this guide for moving to Thailand, anyone can make a relatively stress-free move to Thailand, also known affectionately as The Land of Smiles.

Imagine waking up every morning in a location that many people save all year to visit for just two weeks because they consider it to be paradise. Best of all, life in Thailand is itself relatively stress-free and inexpensive. It is possible to live well in Thailand for US$1,000 a month or even less!

What other benefits does Thailand have to offer?

– The weather is fantastic for most of the year (all year round if you don’t mind the rain for 2-3 months of the year).

– The people are friendly and welcoming.

– Thai food is some of the best in the world.

– Thailand is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and lush jungles in the world.

– Thailand is central to all of SE Asia. If you love to travel there’s no better base for traveling Asia than Thailand.

– The nightlife in many Thai locations (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, etc) is world renown.

– Those interested in meditation will find Thailand a wonderful place to learn and practice.

Gary Lovisi, author The Great Detective in Paperback and Pastiche and The Secret Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, says, “This is a pretty incredible book, I can’t believe how much material and research was put into it, truly stunning, a massive undertaking. The Holmes/Mycroft comments were interesting and fun. It had so many interesting aspects to it, so many different tacks and yet it all comes together. I think it is a special book, very well done, not so much for general readers, but Holmes/Quatermain and all readers who like anything in that area will simply adore the book. There is so much in it I was astonished by the info and facts that were woven together so well.”

50% of my ramblings wouldn’t be new to you. 25% of it would be new to you, but what you would have suspected from your common sense. It’s the remaining 25%, I am concerned about. Mislearning is worse than ignorance. Especially in the field of health, it’s dangerous. You have learnt some myths and misconceptions. You have to unlearn them before learning new things.

If you have stuffed your belly with stale food even the best food is going to cause nausea only. You have to empty the stale food before you take in the new good food.

Some of my ramblings may save you bucks from marketing frauds. Some may save your precious health. But to get something from this you have to be open mind and remove the stale food of the misconceptions that have filled your brain.

You may ask why you must believe me. Because I am a physician and have way more experience and knowledge about health than the dumbhead who has posted some surprisingly foolish tips and facts in his blog. (I may seem arrogant. But some tips in the blogs have almost killed some of my patients.)

Of course I don’t claim infallibility. As for that matter no human can claim infallibility. Have scepticism about my book. I don’t care a bit. But read with an open mind that I may be (if not, am) right.

A Brief History of the Future

by Oona Strathern

â??A Brief History of The Future’ takes the reader on a time travel adventure through the past, present and future, exploring how the ancient art of prediction has become today’s science of futurism.

From Delphi’s virgin visionaries, to science fiction writers, pop futurists, trend gurus and evolutionary experts â?? this book takes a look at the most interesting and influential figures and what their predictions have done for us.

The brilliant, beautiful and sometimes terrifying ideas of visionary thinkers such as Leonardo, Darwin, Orwell and Dawkins have played a key part in influencing our minds, politics and civilization.

Today, futurism is all around us â?? in institutes of higher education around the world futures studies are a hot subject.

Governments of nations as small as Liechtenstein have shiny new futures departments, while think-tanks and consultants wield huge influence.

Entrepreneurs and politicians are attempting to buy their prefered future and, the question is, do we make the future, or does the future make us?

This unique and fascinating book looks behind the scenes at how tomorrow’s trends are being identified, â??made’ and marketed today.

‘A Brief History of the Future is wise and witty with great stories about the characters who would see the future and their sometimes outrageous ideas. Best of all it illuminates the past of the future.’ – Megatrends

The Human Body’s Five Sources of Strength

by Berndt Rieger

My intention here is to discuss sources of strength for human beings, without wanting to sell anything or make a profit. What I write here is medical knowledge dating back to earlier and ancient times without having become anachronistic. We will talk about our organs and try to visualize them from an observer’s standpoint. Our organs and how they function determines whether we are healthy or ill, and how we feel. It is they who give us a feeling of power or lack of it. In principle, it is always the human being as a living creature who receives strength they can draw upon, sometimes to the point of exhaustion. We need to discuss how this exhaustion comes about. What’s important at the start, however, is that all of us are born with the power of youth, assuming that our development is not impaired by factors such as malnutrition, injury or genetic flaws. We are strong by nature; some of us are able to foster this strength from the outset and benefit from it even in old age. Others – unfortunately the majority – run out of it earlier. They develop diseases or at least ailments, and if these don’t go away again so that exhaustion persists, the question arises as to how to regain strength. That is natural, because we want to be like “before”. We again want to feel the strength which we consider proper and which nature intended for us.

About Stomach & Throat Cancer US and Japan (Cancers)

by Baker T

Cancer is the growth of abnormal (malignant) body cells: stomach cancer cells spread by breaking away from other cancer cells and go into the bloodstream or lymphatics while others penetrate into organs near the stomach.

Although the cause of stomach cancer development is not known, risk factors include inflammation of the stomach, Helicobacter Pylori infection, smoking, poor diet, obesity, lack of physical activity, and the history of stomach cancer in the family.
