How to Learn And Memorize Greek Vocabulary … Using A Memory Palace Specifically Designed For Greek (Magnetic Memory Series)

by Anthony Metivier

How to Learn and Memorize Greek Vocabulary … Using a Memory Palace Specifically Designed for Greek (and adaptable to many other languages too)

If you’d like to improve your ability to learn Greek vocabulary by as much as 100%, 200%, even 300% (or more) … using simple memory techniques that you can learn in 15-20 minutes (or less), then this may be the most important book that you will ever read.

Believe it or not, it really doesn’t matter if you think you have a good memory or not.

The information in this book will teach you:

* Why memory is like a bicycle everyone can ride (with some minor personal adjustments).

* The real reason why no one should ever be squeamish about memorization or learning a language.

* Why and how some of the most famous memory skills are applicable to learning any language, especially Greek.

* How you can easily create a “letter location” memory system based on the Greek alphabet.

* How to quickly and easily learn and memorize the sounds of the Greek alphabet

* Unique techniques that will have you literally “tuning in” on the Greek language.

* How to separate Greek words in the most effective manner for memorization.

* Two secret ways you can use relaxation to aid the memorization process. These two methods alone are worth the price of this book because they will literally eliminate your stress and apprehension as you learn Greek.

* And much, much more …

These techniques have been used by real language learners, most of whom previously considered themselves owners of a “bad memory,” to make real strides in learning Greek vocabulary.

Don’t worry! None of these techniques involve brain surgery!

Frankly, if you can memorize a short email address or the name of a movie, then you can use this system to memorize a language as rich and diverse as Greek.

But there’s really no time to lose.

Every day that you are not using this simple vocabulary memorization system, you are literally stealing from yourself the joy of being able to read, speak and recall an abundance of Greek vocabulary as you easily expand the natural abilities of your mind.

Artemis : Virgin Goddess of the Sun, Moon & Hunt

by Sorita d’Este

The goddess Artemis is best known today as a goddess of the hunt and of the new moon, yet to those who worshipped at her ancient temples and sanctuaries she was far more than just that.

To them she was a powerful and complex goddess whose influence spread far and wide throughout the ancient world. She was worshipped and celebrated as a goddess of childbirth, women, song, dance and of wild animals. As the daughter of the Titan goddess Leto by the Olympian Father god Zeus, Artemis would prove herself from the moment of her own birth, by assisting her mother with the birth of her own twin brother, Apollo. Zeus, who fathered children with many other goddesses and mortals, had a special affection for Artemis from the start and gave her all the gifts she asked for and more, making her one of the most powerful of the Olympian goddesses.

Artemis, Virgin Goddess of the Sun & Moon explores the myths, powers and worship of this beautiful goddess. It is a thorough study with details of her temples and sanctuaries, the festivals which were held in honour of her, the roles she fulfilled in the myths, animals which were sacred to her, her relationship with her virgin attendants and other deities, as well as the many titles which were bestowed upon her. This groundbreaking book provides the most comprehensive study of this enduring goddess to date.

In Artemis we see combined the fruition of the early Minoan Lady of the Beasts with the fertile power of the early goddesses of Ephesus. Artemis brought together the powers of life and death, aiding childbirth and hunting wild animals, the joy of song and dance with the wildness of nature untamed. Worshipped by young girls and warriors alike, Artemis spread her net of beauty and might through every level of Greek society.

Wandering Waters: A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF A DECKHAND

by Guy Swan

When not out fishing, I take my breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Jackie, the Mexican girl, will pour my coffee while standing so close that I can smell the cotton fibers in her blouse. As I leave, she wishes me luck. She knows I’m going to need it.

Aboard the fishing vessel Kismet everything is ready. We are crossing the Pacific in search of tuna that were in previous years unknown to the American fleet.

The year is 1988 and by now it’s well known that a large school of albacore tuna can be found in the South Pacific Ocean a thousand miles south of Tahiti. The canneries in American Soma promise a dollar a pound for these fish: the highest prices every paid for albacore tuna. Except for the few who hold net permits, commercial fishing is at an all time low. These two factors (the poor fishing in the States and the news of the fish in the South Pacific) have led to the formation of a loose confederation of fishing vessels. Their homeports span the West Coast from Alaska to Mexico. At immense financial and physical risk, this small fleet will converge on a remote area in the Southern Ocean.

John Goth is the owner of the fishing vessel Kismet; Jeremy is a young man from a prominent San Diego familyâ??I’m going too. The three of us make up the entire crew.

On the first of December 1988, we leave San Diego for French Polynesia the first leg of our journey. In Tahiti I meet Ubangi, a young girl born in Africa of French and Burmese parents. She makes her living selling homemade medicine out of the back of her step van. After returning from the South Pacific, I travel to the Caribbean. Not finding what I’m looking for, in a sinking sailboat, I cross the Atlantic.

This two hundred and seventy page narrative spans one year and eight countries. Wandering Waters is a true story.
