Burnt Forests

by jullian poe

It is black nowâ??all
A sooted veil, a funeral pall,
Beauty inherent stillâ??
Cool winds with whispered eerie call. . .

“The most riveting example of raw poetry I’ve read. . .”
Edward Lutz

“Disturbing! Poe takes us on a self-destructive ride into the abyss. . .”
Poetry Sense

“A haunting exposé of lost love and wasted dreams. . . .”
endeavor magazine

“Poetic heresy. . . .the audacity of Tooth Fairy will have you punching the walls.”
Emily Pane

“Burnt Forests is the collective works of a madman. With malice and aforethought Poe apparently sabotages every decent opportunity in life. Follow his poetry as it meanders from soft love songs to menacing images of despair. Jullian Poe is a lost cause of his own making. . .”
Jennifer Swill, editor-in-chief Poetry Sense.

Optimistic You..

by Himani Goel

Featured into dramatic play, people emote a character,

Some nice, more evil…World full of actor!

Himani Goel

Have you been struggling all these past days to find out the way of turning all wrong into right? Have you ever been the victim of rough time and wished to change what all happened? Do you ever feel alone in crowd and keep on looking for an answer?

â??Optimistic You ‘ took me almost 2 years to pen down the feelings into words. I always wanted to write about something real, something with which one can easily connect. It is a collection of poems; rather exact feelings that a common person has experienced during his lifetime. It’s about the realization that there is a specific time for everything to happen, about the pain one experienced while fighting from his own fears, about the moment when one find himself alone among crowd, about the winning over bad time. Every poem based on different theme will conclude that â??you are special and will be paid for your good deeds’. The author believes that we all have something unique that can make you the odd one among all the common people.

You Complete Me

by Harshada Pathare

In Harshada Pathare’s collection of poetry You Complete Me, the intellectual and ecstatic passions of life are explored, from motherhood to romantic love. No subject is too small for examination, nor unworthy of comparison to universal and great truths. In the title poem, ‘You Complete Me’, the speaker praises and expresses admiration for the resiliency of his beloved despite the conflict and troubles she has endured, and invokes his hopes for their relationship and future together. The relationship is celebrated as both spiritual and everyday in its domestic quality. In her fourth poetry collection, Pathare pursues the extremes of human relationships, friendship, and spiritual ideals. Her meditations on motherhood, religion, and romantic love illustrate her quest for universal truths. Unhesitating in offering life lessons to the reader, she confronts the pain of transition and growth, promising redemption through belief in a divine mission.

Your Majesty

by Harshada Pathare

Harshada, a poet of the human innermost feelings, intently wields the pen of her craft to expand the mind like an artist wields a brush. She dwells in her cherished inner sphere, where she is in touch with the world. This enables her to glean information about populations, their personal value systems, and interestingly employs such sensuality in her writings.

Harshada Pathare employs immense creativity, flexibility, and ingenuity to organize her poetic ideas; thus, ensuring this anthology stands out to be yet, one of her most influential and credential poetry composition.

â??Your Majesty’, a poetic compilation filled with passion and warmth marks the growth of Harshada Pathare as an inspiring poet.

The Journey Back To Myself: Julie Jewels Smoot

by Julie Smoot

This is a book of poetry that I have written over one year as I continue to heal from multiple sexual assaults and Post Traumatic Stress I found my way to Nia by going to a One Billion and Rising Nia Jam. I felt safe with these amazing women that were dancing. I took Nia White Belt, Green Belt and Blue Belt. I started to love my body. I found that I can love my body. Also, that I have a voice and I can tell my story.

Every day I am continuing to learn more about myself. I am continuing to go to go therapy and Hakomi Somatic Psychotherapy to heal my body. I am discovering who I am, what my place is in this world and what my talents are. Right know at this moment, I am meant to teach Nia, continue to heal, help other survivors to heal, find music that helps people to heal, dance, write poetry, take photographs, take as many trainings as I can, and to be a Reiki Jin Kei Do Energy Healer. I am meant to continue to heal myself. This is my purpose. This is my truth.

I hope that you enjoy reading this book of my poetry, written as I’ve healed over the course of one year.

Back to Front & Inside Out: A collection of poems and quotations

by Phillip Holmes

This publication is a million miles removed from the usual nature of my work. The contents of this compilation offer an insight into a personal life spanning a period of almost 40 years, in verse and song lyrics, covering a myriad of subjects, from big mistakes, love, laughter, regret, and expectation.

On reflection, I can only conclude that life is a car crash looking for somewhere to happen, and when it does, all we can realistically do is get back on the road to wherever life may be taking us, and get on with it.

The subject material here within, is as diverse as the everyday events of everyone’s lives, the good, the bad, and the inevitable ugly. There should, therefore, be scope for all readers to relate to at least some of this content on a personal level, enough to stir an old memory, a wry smile, a little laughter perhaps, or even a thought provokingâ?¦….. “Yes, that was me!”

In the end, poetry I guess is rather like the truth. Nobody really wants to have to hear it!

Please read on and enjoy. Should you happen to ‘find’ yourself within these pages, then share that experience by posting a review on Amazon. Finally, I can only say that in seeking to make the most of this life, we should always strive to, â?¦…

Live well,

Love deeply,

Laugh often!

Cheers, Phill.
