Choose the Perfect College… for You!: Ask the Right Questions, Take Control of the Process, and Find the School That’s Right for You

by Sam Feeney

With more than 4,000 colleges and universities in the U.S. alone, students face an increasingly difficult task: finding a school that will prepare them for a rewarding career and a fulfilling life. College admissions coach Sam Feeney has worked with hundreds of students and families with the goal of finding the perfect college for each student, and he distills his unique, step-by-step process in this book. Written to students – but helpful for adults who are guiding students through the college selection process – Choose the Perfect College… for You! offers a refreshing take on college selection that will empower students, teaching them to measure schools against each other in four key areas: academics, campus life, opportunities, and finances.

For families who don’t know where to start, this is a new way to think about choosing a college, beginning with asking specific questions that will produce the most important information. For students who have narrowed down their college options to just a few, the book provides a means of identifying their priorities and ultimately choosing the best school.

Wherever you are in the college selection process, Choose the Perfect College… for You! is a tool that will help you make the best decision about what to do after high school.

Note: Purchase of the book includes a downloadable workbook to personalize your college search criteria!

Cursive Handwriting (Handwriting Improvement Workbook: Tracing, Writing and Drawing Practices Book 1)

by Derek Pei

Dear Parent:

This book presents an innovative approach for kids to establish an elegant handwriting style subconsciously. With this book, kids read the famous story “How Toys Become Real” and, meanwhile, trace the story word by word. The sequential finger movements activate neural activities, such as thinking and language processing. Their attention may be on the story characters, the rabbit, the skin horse and the fairy, etc., but subconsciously, the signals of hand fine motor movements pass from fingertips to the brain and, gradually, form a neat and elegant handwriting style.

Forming a neat and elegant handwriting style is not the ultimate goal of this book. It is actually a byproduct of a writing practice. When kids are asked to, “Trace the words like you are writing a story” on each even pages, it leads to a sense of writing a story; a fun and creative activity. It is well known that handwriting practice will improve idea composition and expression. This book enhances this educational approach and will get kids started on “writing” practice at early age.

Recent studies have shown that children write more words, faster, and express more ideas when writing essays by hand, versus with a keyboard. This book provides a tool for kids who would like and stay ahead of the competition curve.

Warren Buffett + Options Trading 2 in 1 Bundle!: 3 Common Mistakes Entrepreneurs Make That Destroy Their Wealth and How to Avoid These Mistakes Once and For All!

by Richard Borrows

Book 1 – Warren Buffett

The Ultimate Guide To Investing like Warren Buffet. Learn the Warren Buffet Way, the Warren Buffett Portfolio and the Warren Buffett Stocks

The stock market has developed a reputation among the people of the world as a mystical entity. It has become a realm with the top closed in on Wall Street with a circle of seemingly impenetrable suits even though the reality is that anyone can become an investor. Although the average Joe might be at an immediate disadvantage in terms of safety funds and insider knowledge on the best deals and short term fluctuations of a stock, there are most definitely options such as mutual funds like index funds that are easy to use and relatively safe in comparison to filling a portfolio with a narrow range of risky securities.

Warren Buffett is known today as a massively successful entrepreneur and investor. However, all successful people had to make their way from the beginning, Warren Buffett included. It is often both inspiring and a key to understanding to look at a successful person’s journey to success, and so in this book I cover Warren Buffett’s success story, the Warren Buffett Way, his portfolio and stocks, quotes, and tips. I hope that with this book, you will not only learn to be a smart investor, but become successful in more ways than one while gaining insight into the business world as a whole.

Specific topics covered in this book include:

â? Warren Buffett’s Road to Success

 The Warren Buffett Way

 The Warren Buffett Portfolio

 The Warren Buffett Stocks

 Motivational Warren Buffett Quotes

 Final Warren Buffett Investing Tips

Who am I?: Writing a compelling personal essay for college, merit scholarships, or dating

by Marc Maxmeister

This book presents the seven rules for writing essays that will get you what you want, whether that be to impress the college reviewer, connect with the scholarship or grant committee, or woo the girl/guy with witty words. These are not strict structural rules of the Strunk & White variety (also a great book, by the way) but more of an empirical this-is-what-works-with-emotional-writing set of guidelines. Read examples of personal statements, personal journey essays, grant applications, dating message hooks, and pretty much any writing out there that lives or dies on the emotional connection that author makes with the reader. Plus it includes commentary on what works based on the author’s own big data mining and text analysis tools to demonstrate why things work, often with surprising observations: Did you know Hemingway and Thoreau wrote in a very similar way?

Furthermore, it presents the interconnection between the more formal essay and the less formal conversation starters one would use in online dating profiles. Both follow the same rules. This isn’t a book about inspiration, but you can’t say much in an essay without it. So this book delivers inspirational examples of good essays to get your own creative juices flowing.

Concise advice: You can consume the first eight chapters in one sitting and move on to discovering yourself through writing and sharing that journey with others. So read this and then let loose with your pen or typing fingers. Perhaps you’ll say more about yourself in your essay than you anticipated – that’s success.
