Why Lost Travelers Guides?

We were sick and tired of long, boring, and biased guides out in the market that not only waste our time but also waste money. We continuously had to ask someone for the simplest of things that could have easily been found if we could speak the language of the location, or that should have been in the guide! As we continuously face this problem we decided we wanted to make a guide that that would cover everything a traveler needs to know from the point of Arrival to Departure, and the Lost Travelers Guides were born.

When having our guides created we take a lot into consideration such as time, therefore our guides are short and to the point. But mainly we ask ourselves and other travelers what we enjoy during a travel and what we wish we had known prior to visiting the location and that is where the Lost Travelers guides excels. As the Lost Travelers Guide team, we only have one goal and that is to make sure that our guides are the best out, and provides the most value available.

Discovering Australia & Her Lore: Oldies at Large 2013-2014

    by Jan Hawkins

I began blogging sometime ago now, at first it was in the form of letters and emails to family and friends and from there it became a way of life, a way of sharing and something that I truly enjoyed. This is a previously published anthology of my Aussie adventures 2013-2014. The e-book is large due to picture content as it is extensively illustrated.

Writing for me is something that is a large part of my life. I first discovered the pleasure as a young child when I took one of the scholarly exercise books and set it aside for my thought and dreams… thus began my relationship with the world of words.

This is a collection of my blogs that are freely available on the internet at janhawkinsau.wordpress.com. I have learnt during my travels that the internet is not always available freely however. So for my readers I have now published this anthology of blogs in both e-book and print for their enjoyment.

Traveling Australia is our life and it is something we, my Hubby and I enjoy. We love the independence, the quiet and the adventure and it is this that I would share with you. Come with me on our journey and discover those hidden place of Australia. Discover her ancient Lore, the oldest surviving Lore in the world today and learn as we peel back the mysteries of time and place across this land, Australia.

The Black Gentlemen of Trong Suan

    by John McMahon

In southern Thailand a young man arrives in a small town during a lightening storm with nothing more than his wits, a small fortune and an old mans diary. He sets up what appears to be an idle life with his beautiful fiance as he sows discontent between the few foreigners and local residents culminating in a wedding party that ends in fire, rioting and death.

This is the second edition of the novel that has developed a cult readership for its rendering of distopian Thailand. Author McMahon obviously understanding and recording all the subtle nuances of village life, as well as those of the expat society… the difference between this (novel) and others set in rural Thailand is enormous’
