The Natural Hair Journal

by Monica Millner

The Natural Hair Journal is written with the intention to help you open up and explore any unknown issues you may have with certain hair textures and new styling choices. The book is sized and arranged to allow you to write your thoughts and feelings directly on the pages. The book is purposely short to allow for focused discussion and specific results. I’ve included personal memories and thoughts to remind you that we, black women, are on this journey together. We will get through this journey to a more inclusive definition of beauty by discussing your issues, our issues, the world’s issues about our beauty.

Auras: A Beginner’s Guide On How To Feel, See & Strengthen The Auric Field (Psychic Development, Aura, Chakras Book 1)

by Luna Sidana

A Clear-Cut Guide To The Auric Field & How To Develop It

The most agreed upon origins of the word “aura” can be traced back to Greek and Latin roots with the meanings “breeze”, “breath”, “wind” or “air”. In the mid-19th century, the term started to take on a different connotation in Europe, and was used to describe the “characteristic impression” made by a person. A few years later, spiritualists adopted it to convey the subtle field of energy that radiates off beings.

Hindu scholars insist that “aura” actually comes from Sanskrit, and refers to the spokes in a wheel. The imagery of a spoke originating from a hub is a parallel to how the aura radiates from the physical body.

For the average person, the aura extends approximately three to five feet from the borders of the physical body. It is densest at the section closest to the flesh, and gradually becomes more transparent and indistinct the farther away it goes. It can be described as a cloud or flame that gradually fades out of the field of vision.

During The Course Of The Book We Will Explore:

  • The nature of the human aura & its attributes
  • How the auric field plays a part in your spiritual evolution
  • The different layers and colors of the aura & their meanings
  • How to start sensing auras
  • How you can learn to see them
  • Cleansing your field of negative energy
  • Strengthening & maintaining good auric health

Let Them Eat Cake: A Novel (French Twist Book 1)

by Sandra Byrd

Book One in the French Twist Series.

Lexi Stuart is at a critical crossroads. She’s done with college but still living at home, ready to launch a career but unable to find a job, and solidly stalled between boyfriends.

When a lighthearted conversation in French with the manager of her favorite bakery turns into a job offer, Lexi accepts. But the actual glamor is minimal: the pay is less than generous, her co-workers are skeptical, her bank account remains vertically-challenged, and her parents are perpetually disappointed. Her only comfort comes from the flirtatious baker she has her eye on-but even may not be who he seems to be!

So when a handsome young executive dashes into the bakery to pick up his high profile company’s special order for an important meeting-an order Lexi has flubbed-she loses her compulsion to please. Something inside Lexi clicks. Laissez la révolution commencer! Let the revolution begin!

Instead of trying to fulfill everyone else’s expectations for her life, Lexi embarks on an adventure in trusting herself and God with her future-très bon!

This book is written from a lightly Christian worldview.

Audible edition narrated by Sophie Amoss.
