The Lone Wolf Project

by Byron Davis

As Islamic radicalism placed fear in millions around the world many wondered what would stop such barbaric behavior. America had transitioned into a non-aggressive state of war, which consisted of winning the hearts and minds of the people rather than destroying them. As unprovoked attacks throughout the world began to rise, especially the unpredictable “lone wolf” attack, so did the level of anger felt by so many innocent men and women. One such man was a highly trained American military veteran. Upon exiting the Marine Corps he missed the sounds and smells of war, but refused to fight for a country that did not condone the killing of violent extremists. Instead, he made the transition to a foreign militia in the country of Iraq to fight against extremist groups. After regaining his thirst for blood he decided to make the trek into the Iraqi countryside alone and launch his own war as an American lone wolf. This is only the beginning of a year’s long campaign that would ultimately place fear into the very people that have succeeded at the same agenda for decades.
