Measure noise with smartphones: Use the new Technology

by David Ward

Smartphone will measure noise just as accurately as expensive dB meters.
If the correct App and microphones are used highly accurate measurements can be taken. In all cases the accuracy of smartphones lies within the margin of error.
This book will show how to use smartphone apps to detect the true sources of noise.
Once the source of noise is known is known most maintenance persons will be able to work out how to eliminate the problem.
10 years ago I started using laptop computers and good quality microphones to detect and eliminate noise hazards.
The price of the instrument was measured in the thousands of dollars.
5 Years ago I started using video technology to overcome some of the limitations of walking around with a laptop.
Now smartphones will do most of what I was doing 10 years ago with expensive equipment, and most of what I was doing with video.

This book will show you how to use a Smartphone to detect noise.
-Choosing Microphones
-Using microphones
-Calibrating Smartphones
-dB Apps
-Spectrum analyzer Apps
Once detected and measured noise can then be eliminated.

Another of my books “Eliminate noise Hazards” can be used with this book.

Nutrition Facts: Diet Right For Your Personality Type

by Oscar Mendez

Is your body weighing you down? It could have something to do with your personality.

Your personality type influences almost every other aspect of your life. Your career, relationships, and social life are a direct reflection of your personality type. While these aspects have a direct link to personality traits and basic human interaction, research has it that diet is also one of the core aspects that complement your personality. Dieting takes the back seat often when analyzing personality types. Success in your career can be traced back to your personality type. Basic human interaction and relationships also have a direct correlation with your personality type.

Research on dieting and health suggests that your personality type will determine your

overall health. There are sixteen different types of personalities based on scientific theories of classification. While science would give a better insight on personality traits, when it comes to health and fitness, deriving the most important and relevant factors are necessary for trying to demystify personality traits in relation to dieting and overall health. The following table highlights the most important aspects of daily living in relation to eating patterns and the corresponding personality types. These aspects are fundamental in driving the influence one’s personality has to food.

Dancing with Air: WWII love story (Still Life with Memories Book 4)

by Uvi Poznansky

Serving on the European front, Lenny longs for Natasha, the girl who captured his heart back home. He writes bogus reports, designed to fall into the hands of Nazi Intelligence. To fool the enemy, these reports are disguised as love letters to another woman. This task must remain confidential, even at the risk of Natasha becoming suspicious of him.

Once she arrives in London, Lenny takes her for a ride on his Harley throughout England, from the White Cliffs of Dover to a village near an underground ammunition depot in Staffordshire. When he is wounded in a horrific explosion, Natasha brings him back to safety, only to discover the other woman’s letter to him. He wonders, will she trust him again, even though as a soldier, he must keep his mission a secret? Will their love survive the test of war?

In the past Natasha wrote, with girlish infatuation, “He will be running his fingers down, all the way down to the small of my back, touching his lips to my ear, breathing his name, breathing mine. Here I am, dancing with air.” In years to come, she will begin to lose her memory, which will make Lenny see her as delicate. “I gather her gently into my arms, holding her like a breath.” But right now, during the months leading up to D-Day, she is at her peak. With solid resolve, she is ready to take charge of the course of their story.

Dancing with Air is a standalone WWII romance, as well as the fourth volume of a family saga series titled Still Life with Memories, one of family sagas best sellers of all time. If you like family saga romance, wounded warrior romance, or military romantic suspense, you will find that this love story, twisting and turning through its marital issues, is a unique melding of them all.

The ABCs of Diabetes For Children

by Amanda Jones

Diabetes education plays an important part in the management of diabetes. As educators we have to be continually seeking innovative ways of delivering this much needed information, so that its impact is one in which the individual receiving it is empowered to make the best choices. I have chosen rhymes as the method of delivery to educate, encourage and empower individuals where their health is concerned. Studies have shown that rhymes promote the recalling of facts as listening/repeating rhymes develop our memorizing skill. How much easier is it to apply information you remember, than that which you don’t remember?

Every adult was a child once. In that childhood phase play was an important part of all of our lives and we had no real concern for example of when or what we were going to eat. Play ended when our responsible parents would say, “It’s time to eat, bathe or sleep”, or any other thing they saw fit to call us away to. Childhood was a time of innocence and of course, no worries. While this may still be a reality for some, unfortunately there are children who live with diabetes and their childhood is not as carefree. However, all is not lost. With careful management by an interdisciplinary team of health professional, their parents and themselves, a diabetes fighting plan can still ensure children are not robbed of the opportunity to run, skip, swim and play. To just be a child. Children should not fear diabetes and this all depends on the way they are supported through these formative years of their lives.

In a nutshell, The ABC’s of Diabetes presents diabetes in a children friendly format of rhymes complimented by attractive illustrations. Written as an introduction to diabetes this book will give children an understanding of diabetes in its simplest form. At the end of the book the children are treated to word puzzles that incorporate that sense of play while learning. All the answers to these learning, fun puzzles are found within the contents of the book.

Foundations of Statistics

by Dr. A.N. Sah

While writing this ebook, my prime goal was to design a book which aims at building foundations for more advanced papers in statistics and probability. Research, perhaps, is not possible without inferential statistics. Most books on the subject confuse readers. The book tries to enlighten readers in a precise and in a clear-cut manner.
