CRP CHINA SHNGHAI Oolong Tea for the Soul 1984 Vol1 (Japanese Edition)

by JUNGO SHUDEN

Oolong Tea for the Soulã??Vol.1 1984

There was a time during the oolong tea boom in Japan where sales of the tea outstripped the volume of imports coming in from China.
On the back of this boom, a certain beverage maker developed a new brand of oolong tea.It was decided that Shanghai was to be the location where the ad for this new tea would be shot. The first task was to search for a Chinese woman who fitted the description of being both healthy and beautiful.
I arrived in Shanghai on the evening of November 10. The bus from the airport to the center of the city rumbled along roads unlit by streetlights. It had an air of nostalgia about it, like I had entered a time slip and gone back to the early 20th Century.
I arrived at the Fairmont Peace Hotel, right next to the Bund promenade.I was taken aback by the sheer luxury of the place.
With the huge size of my room and the soaring ceiling, I did not get a sound sleep. The â??Paris of the East’, as Shanghai was known during the era the city hosted concessions controlled by Western powers, was still fully evident.
With the help of a local television broadcaster, I was able to spend the following day looking for a model for the adat an acrobatic troupe, an opera company, a ballet company, a gymnastics school, and even a farm. At each of these places, oolong tea was to be found.
Stalls selling tea were dotted everywhere along the streets.China’s modernization came comparatively late, but the spiritually rich life, one that had since been lost ã??In Japan, was evident all around and oolong tea was a part of this richness.

Anchor Love: Love me

by Prita Kana

The story is about a protagonist, Kajol,a beauty contestant who loses her mother in a tragic accident and feels lost.  She turns to a man who appears to have saved her and ends up marrying him.

On a sub-level, the story is also about the relation between a protagonist and an author as the story unfolds.  The style of writing is meant to jar the reader and pull to his/her attention to the art of writing while also pulling the reader into the story.
