Rational Resilience: Reasoning Your Way to Incredible Mental Strength (Rational Happiness Book 4)

by Valen Cheung

Rational Resilience: Reasoning Your Way to Incredible Mental Strength

Is there a problem in your life right now that you don’t know if you can handle? Do you dread having to face a task or person that you detest? Do you wonder if you will even survive it all?

If the answer is yes, then you have come to the right place!

This book is a follow up to Rational Tranquility. In this step-by-step guide to Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (one of the BEST forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), we will learn to use rationality to overcome our problems. If this sounds intimidating, try the following exercise:

  • Go back to your childhood and remember how difficult it was to tie your shoelaces.
  • Imagine how easily a child could throw a tantrum and truly feel helpless as a result of this difficulty.
  • Now contrast that with your grown-up, rational response to this challenge.

If you could do the above, you can do REBT.

In this book we will cover:

  • Learning how to gain and maintain the big picture and stay calm in spite of your challenges
  • Quickly being able to assess if something is really as bad as it seems
  • Reasoning your way to resilience and strength if things really ARE that bad

And more!

Get this book TODAY and start building your mental strength!

Note: This is the fourth of five books in the Rational Happiness series.

Answered with Math: Cool problems solved with math and physics

by Robert Hamner

Have you ever wondered if we can blow up the Moon? What about why 72 divided by an investment’s interest rate gives you the investment’s doubling time? We can answer questions like that with a bit of pretty simple math and physics.

This book is a collection of solutions to problems like that. I go through enough of the math that you should be able to follow along, but this isn’t as detailed as a textbook. Most problems are covered in one to two pages. My goal is to give a glimpse of how powerful math can be to people who are interested but don’t think about it all the time.

If you enjoy questions like the two I asked above and you were able to understand most of your high school math, you’ll probably enjoy this book. The best description I can think of is that it’s kind of like Randall Munroe’s ‘What If?’ except that he’s a better writer than I am and this has more math in it.
