Beyond the Edge of Infinity

by R. R. Stark

Two men, one of them insane, are playing a dangerous game across time, each endeavoring to out-think the other’s next move. The stakes are high and they have everything to lose. The question is, who will be the victor in the end? Or will there truly ever be an end? And what is the final fate of all existence?

2nd Edition Note:

Something bothered me about how the original story wrapped up and ended, and certain elements weren’t clarified. I knew I had to instigate a delicate phasing to the temporal fabric of this tale. At first, I wasn’t sure how to proceed. However, when I received an epiphany of sorts, I knew exactly what to do. So I made a few changes, and now it seems to make more sense and hang together much better, especially the way it ends; hence a new reality!

Beyond Regeneration

by Jenny Schwartz

A medical mystery of the most puzzling and impossible kind! What does it mean to be human? And is being human enough?

Charley Rowdon knew Dr. Jack Bradshaw years ago, before the accident, before she lost her left arm. Before her husband died. Jack is an internationally respected regeneration specialist, and he’s just made the breakthrough of the century: using QNA to grow non-human bio-enhancements on people, including himself. Think superhuman senses, claws, and even, wings.

However, when Charley accepts Jack’s invitation to accompany him to his private clinic, a luxury resort on the beautiful south west coast of Australia, she finds more than medical science and altered humanity. Her journalistic instincts urge her to dig deeper, even if it means confronting her disability.

Murder, espionage and a scientific development that Jack never ever predicted will challenge Charley to shed her grief and fear, and solve a mystery beyond imagining.

But as Charley regenerates her life, how much will she risk by loving again?

Terregon (Book Two of The Red Diamond Saga)

by Jennifer Janne

The story continues as Corinne struggles to keep her family of strangers together in their new house. Though connected by a tie they don’t quite understand, they find it difficult to communicate with each other. Corinne’s natural urge to protect and nurture threatens the already temperamental bonds she shares with Aaron, Lisa, and now Cori.

The truth about the Red Diamond Project is revealed, and the madman behind it exposed for what he had done. Corinne and Aaron share a familial bond that others could only guess at, though the two endeavor to keep their ties hidden from the rest of the world. Both have been watched from afar with great interest by the secretive group that genetically engineered them. Though Corrine and the others believe they have escaped the clutches of those who would try to control and manipulate them, forces lurk in the shadows, ready to capture or destroy them when the time is right.

Cori, a young clone of Corinne’s, falls into her hands, and the secretive group that created her moves in to take her back before her delicately manufactured mindset is contaminated by the warmth and kindness of Corinne’s. A precarious hostage situation erupts and demands the family’s special talents. Corinne, Lisa, and Aaron respond to the scene and use their heightened abilities to try to quell the situation. Aaron’s recklessness forces Corinne to take a life, something that will haunt her memories.

Before she even has a chance to recover, the family is called back as an anonymous tip had reached the police station that a random busload of commuters was going to be attacked. With the very real prospect of dozens of people dying and panic consuming the city, the police force is desperate for Corinne and Aaron’s help. Aaron’s recklessness again proves to be very trying for Corinne. With the unstable terrorists making demands on a city bus filled with innocent people and children, Corinne and Aaron will struggle, not only to keep the people of the city safe, but to keep their own bonds strong enough to survive what happens next.

Chain Breakers (Nuclear Winter Book 3)

by Nathan Jones

Aspen Hill has finally stabilized, after almost two years of chaos since the Gulf burned. The conflict and turmoil have ended, and the people living there are finally in a position where they’re confident they can feed themselves, not just through the next nuclear winter but long term. Nestled in its little valley in the Rocky Mountains the town looks forward to the future.

But not everywhere is so fortunate. Halfway across the country, along the Mississippi River that now forms a border between the Central Controlled Zone and Canada, Pete Childress and his unit remain locked in conflict with the remnants of the Gold Bloc countries that invaded the United States. Galvanized by the CCZ’s raids on the convoys the US and Canada sent to Mexico’s trade summit, the two countries have begun striking back. But rather than launching major attacks against the enemy nation, the combined force has begun using the CCZ’s own tactics against them, sending raiding parties across the border to hit enemy camps, free US and Canadian citizens taken as slaves, and punish those who enslaved them.

Pete’s unit forms the spearhead in the conflict, operating where the fighting is fiercest. And while Pete’s matured some in the year since he ran away from home to join the Army, he remains hotheaded and eager to bring the fight to the enemy. From the looks of things there’ll be plenty of fight to bring.

The Witches of Ne’arth (The Star Wizards Trilogy Book 2)

by S.J. Ryan

(Book II of The Star Wizards Trilogy. The series begins with The Wizard from Earth.)

Centuries earlier, the Star Seed Project secretly designed three Pandora Boxes: artificially intelligent space probes that would terraform a planet light years from Earth and populate it with life — including human. Now civilizations have grown on the new world, with teeming millions, unaware that an evolutionary apocalypse is about to be unleashed upon them.

After centuries of star flight in suspended animation, Mattimeo Jackson, a teenager from Earth who had intended to colonize another planet with his family, arrived on the world that had come to be known as Ne’arth and found himself hailed as a Wizard whose coming was foretold in prophecy. It was not a good thing, for the creators of the planet’s biosphere were intent on destroying him before he could disrupt their cosmic experiment.

Arcadia of Umbrick, aka ‘Carrot,’ aka ‘The Good Witch of Britan,’ the mutant native of Ne’arth whom he’d befriended, fought beside, and come to love, would aid him in his quest to free Ne’arth from its intended catastrophic fate.

Together they would encounter dragons, imperial agents, and beings that had only existed on Earth as fantasy and in nightmares. Their deadliest adversaries would be the witchlike Pandoras, and behind and above them, the most powerful of all the so-called witches of Ne’arth.
