Threads (Small Things Book 2)

by Joe DeRouen

History is changing around nineteen-year-old Ben Spencer, and he’s powerless to stop it. His sister has disappeared, his family thinks he’s schizophrenic, and, worse yet, the girl he’s madly in love with won’t give him the time of day. Enter the mysterious Michael, who, years earlier, helped Ben’s parents defeat a powerful sorcerer bent on destroying them and reclaiming a relic stolen from him years before. With Michael’s help, Ben will travel back in time, to 1977, and attempt to set the past straight. But will he undo himself and the woman he loves in the process?

Threads is a coming of age time travel adventure complete with murder and magic, and also a magical realism love story.

The Small Things trilogy spans forty years and three generations in a tale of murder, betrayal, corruption, sacrifice, love, redemption, faith and magic that culminates in a showdown that will pit the very forces of heaven and hell against Ben and his family in a battle for the future of mankind and the world itself.

Cast in Sand (Atlas Cycle)

by Dustin Porta

On a failed expedition to the heart of an ancient space station, Edwina wakes in a land of fierce warriors and drifting sands, in a mechanical body that is not her own.

With no memory of why, or how many bodies have come before this, one thing is clear: she’s trapped and time is running out.

An ancient citadel looms over the barren land and a cruel sultan rules the scattered people. Edwina finds a new body, one real enough to feel human, and strong enough to challenge the sultan. But the android body comes with human weaknesses, and like the others it has a mind of its own.

When her allies begin to quarrel, Edwina must find a way to make empathy and hatred work together. To do that, she may just have to listen to what the android is telling her.

This is Station Atlas, where the fall of humanity is long forgotten, where history becomes fantasy, science becomes magic, and basic survival is high adventure in a strange, fragile world.

The Last Returning Star 2: Zero Hour

by Liam Harper

Two years have passed since the incident in 2105 in which Rain was enlisted against his will by General Albert Beck to take down a rogue ex special forces unit which had seized control of a high profile research station in the Boomerang Nebula which was spear headed by the known wild card Rex Malus. Rain followed his orders and he successfully eliminated the threat with the exception of Rex who escaped thanks to the assistance of General Beck, though this was all at the cost of the research station itself as it was destroyed upon Rains escape. Due to the lack of log keeping and destruction of evidence on the part of General Beck the UN had no choice but to assume that the destruction of the facility was Rains doing alone and any ideas of a rogue UN unit where to be ignored and labelled as mere fabrications on the soldiers part. As a result of Rain saving Earth and it’s people he was mislabelled a terrorist himself and now he lives a life hunted by UN operatives.

Rain however is not concerned with his own well being as of right now his sights are set on bringing Rex Malus to justice, and as a special request to his partner Melinda he is also on a galaxy wide search to locate one Rebecca Adams(Melinda’s sister), to ensure that Rex does not cause her any further harm. This brings Rain to his mission today in the year 2107 where he once again finds himself infiltrating a highly guarded space station by the name of Sang Jaguar in order to confirm information about the residing mercenary group within and whether or not they are engaging in live human gene experimentation in association with Rex, unfortunately an even darker secret is yet to reveal itself within the hull of this seemingly standard space station, and once Rain begins to walk down the path of discovering what it is he won’t be able to turn back.
