Saving Taffy Turtle: Recycling and protecting the environment made simple so that the children can understand all about it

by Denise Salmon

Children will love learning about Taffy the cute Pink Turtle in this story. They will be more aware of the many ways in which they can enjoy nature and protect the sea creatures at the same time. Children will love to read about the life of turtles and how important they are, and they will want to do all they can to find out about the many things they can do to protect the environment. They will assist with recycling and do more of these great activities; as they will understand how important it is and how it affects thier ability to enjoy the things they tend to take for granted everyday.

Teachers who are in charge of Environmental Clubs in schools will find it much easier to explain simple concepts about the environment to the children, when they have this book. This is a very good book for children to read both when they are in school and when they are at home, as we all know how important it is for them to learn all about protecting the environment and planning for a future that is bright.

Let’s not take it for granted that the beaches will continue being beautiful, if we keep on allowing our plastic waste to litter them everyday. This is not a problem we can afford to ignore, so let us start telling the children about the changes they need to make for themselves, so that they can enjoy the thiing we enjoy now, when they become adults.

We can’t say we are preparing them for a future that is bright, if we don’t tell them all they need to know about protecting the environment. This book makes it easy for parents and teachers to tell the children what they need to hear. Protecting the Environment is written about in simple language and a cute baby girl Turtle is the main Character. So it will be easy for the children to learn about this important topic, in a great way.

The children will like the rhymes too, as the whole story rhymes from the beginning to the end ; and they might even be able to sing the story after a while. This story is truly different from any other story you have ever read for a child and I am sure you will want to purchase copies of the book for all the children you know, so that they can begin learning about the things they can do to make their future bright.

You will also be contributing to a great project that is designed to increase awareness about things even the children can do to protect the environment and protect the sea creatures. More books about this topic will be done for the children as time goes on. As you continue your support of the project by purchasing as many copies of this one as you possibly can.

Don’t allow the children to say we did nothing to change the destruction of the environment, when we can start telling them all they need to know today. Don’t say it is hard, when it is as simple as buying ebooks online.

MARE-WINT: New Materials and Reliability in Offshore Wind Turbine Technology

by Wieslaw Ostachowicz

This book provides a holistic, interdisciplinary overview of offshore wind energy, and is a must-read for advanced researchers. Topics, from the design and analysis of future turbines, to the decommissioning of wind farms, are covered. The scope of the work ranges from analytical, numerical and experimental advancements in structural and fluid mechanics, to novel developments in risk, safety & reliability engineering for offshore wind. The core objective of the current work is to make offshore wind energy more competitive, by improving the reliability, and operations and maintenance (O&M) strategies of wind turbines. The research was carried out under the auspices of the EU-funded project, MARE-WINT. The project provided a unique opportunity for a group of researchers to work closely together, undergo multidisciplinary doctoral training, and conduct research in the area of offshore wind energy generation. Contributions from expert, external authors are also included, and the complete work seeks to bridge the gap between research and a rapidly-evolving industry.

Habitats and Biota of the Gulf of Mexico: Before the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill: Volume 2: Fish Resources, Fisheries, Sea Turtles, Avian Resources, Marine Mammals, Diseases and Mortalities

by C. Herb Ward

This book is open access under a CC BY-NC 2.5 license. The Gulf of Mexico is an open and dynamic marine ecosystem rich in natural resources but heavily impacted by human activities, including agricultural, industrial, commercial and coastal development. The Gulf of Mexico has been continuously exposed to petroleum hydrocarbons for millions of years from natural oil and gas seeps on the sea floor, and more recently from oil drilling and production activities located in the water near and far from shore. Major accidental oil spills in the Gulf are infrequent; two of the most significant include the Ixtoc I blowout in the Bay of Campeche in 1979 and the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in 2010. Unfortunately, baseline assessments of the status of habitats and biota in the Gulf of Mexico before these spills either were not available, or the data had not been systematically compiled in a way that would help scientists assess the potential short-term and long-term effects of such events. This 2-volume series compiles and summarizes thousands of data sets showing the status of habitats and biota in the Gulf of Mexico before the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. Volume 2 covers historical data on commercial and recreational fisheries, with an analysis of marketing trends and drivers; ecology, populations and risks to birds, sea turtles and marine mammals in the Gulf; and diseases and mortalities of fish and other animals that inhabit the Gulf of Mexico.
