It is the reality that life is short and we only have a limited amount of time in our hands. By having only a set number of years associated with our lives, a question arises what do you really want to do with it. A lot of people waste their time just thinking about what they want to do and end up doing nothing at all. This is one of the most prominent issues of the modern lifestyle that we often don’t have time to figure out what is important and how we should pursue it.

A lot of people in the modern society are unhappy and unsatisfied with what they have. They don’t like their jobs and feel like they are wasting their time. One of the best ways of getting rid of this feeling or worthlessness is by working on achieving your goals rather than just thinking about it. In this book, the focus is on the task of how to get motivated enough to stop procrastinating and getting things done. This book presents a five-step mechanism which you can follow to achieve your goals. By following these steps, you can start working on the things that you want in life instead of just thinking about them.

The very first step is setting up a goal. Without a definite goal in mind, life is meaningless and you won’t be able to achieve anything in it. Talking about a goal often results in demotivation and people lose interest in it so it is better if you just write your goal down somewhere set a target date and start working to achieve it.

“A genius without a road map will get lost in any country but an average man with a road map will find their way to any destination” so the next important step is having a game plan on how you will achieve the goal that you have set. By keeping in mind, the important questions such as how, why, when and where you can make a road map to achieve your set goals.

The third step to follow is making a system. A system is anything that will help you get closer to your goal. It can be a set of detailed methods, a procedure, routine or activity that you carry out that will ultimately get you closer to your destination. As the goals of every individual are different and unique so it is necessary that you create your own system template. The more efficient your system is, the more quickly you will achieve your goal.

The fourth step is probably the most important step of all. This step is called energy or enthusiasm. Everything that you have done so far will be lost if you don’t have enough energy or motivation to work on achieving your goals.

Self-honesty is the fifth and last step of this plan. You are your best critique and it is important that you constantly self-analyze yourself and look on how close or further away you are from achieving your goals. Self-honesty is extremely important in this regard because if you keep on lying to yourself, you will never be able to achieve anything in life.
