Here Beneath This Sky: The Cowboy finds true love

by L. V. Wood

The handsome young cowboy, Joshua Talmadge, had everything in life that he could ever desire.
He loved his life as a wilderness guide and the freedom and excitement that he found in the great outdoors. He had his horses, his friends and the most important person in his young life, his father.

Life was good for Joshua in the small town of Hobson; that is, until tragedy struck without warning and turned his world upside down.

Not knowing where he was headed, Joshua said goodbye to the only home he had ever known and set out on a trail filled with adventure, danger and the unknown.

Joshua’s search for a new life led him to the mountains of Angel’s Bend where was able to build a cabin of his own and, once again, establish himself as a wilderness guide. Life was good again, but that was about to change; this time, for the better.

Joshua had never given much thought to finding a wife and settling down. He was perfectly content with his life just as it was. Then, one day, he walked into Amelia’s Place, a small gift shop in Indian Junction, hoping to find an anniversary present for a friend. Totally out of place in a store that featured women’s gifts and accessories, he stood there with a bewildered look on his face.

Just then, a pleasant voice from across the room called out, asking if he needed help in finding a present for his wife. He turned to see who was speaking; his heart skipped a beat when he saw standing there, the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

She was wearing a blue and white gingham dress with her long, blond hair gently falling over her shoulders. Smiling and radiant, she took his breath away.

Joshua didn’t know it at the time, but this brief encounter would change his life forever.

Fergus’ Honor (Grooms with Honor Book 2)

by Linda K. Hubalek

He’s at the right place at the right time to save a woman from falling to her death…but she hadn’t planned to survive. Can he convince her life is worth living, with him?

Fergus Reagan’s fascination with photography led him to a career of recording people’s lives. While in Nebraska photographing homesteaders in front of their humble sod houses, he’s at the right place at the right time to save a young woman.

Iris Kerns’ suicide attempt was supposed to end her engagement to an abusive man, but her rescuer shows her life is worth living when Fergus takes her home to Clear Creek, Kansas, to help with his new photography studio.

But, the past catches up with Iris, drawing danger to her, Fergus, and his family.

The Grooms with Honor series showcases the six sons of Pastor and Kaitlyn Reagan. The family was first featured in the 1873 year-based Brides with Grit series. Besides the Reagan brothers, the series features other men in their community.

“Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, be faithful unto her as long as you both shall live?”

The young men have heard Pastor Reagan say these words to many couples over the years, and they vow to treat all women this way as they walk through life.

Fergus’ Honor is a stand-alone sweet historical romance set in 1886, but you’ll want to read the whole series to enjoy the stories of the Clear Creek, Kansas community.
