That Dam Love: Love, War, Politics & Society

by Garry deGrood

The author uses prose and poetry to describe the nature of his unexpected relationship with a married woman. The book also features events which shaped his life from an early age as well as an analysis of current events and the alarming trends shaping our society. This work of nonfiction is told from an unabashed, conservative viewpoint. While highly critical of politicians and contemporary politics, there is a prevailing sense of optimism based on the power of individuality and spirituality.

Thoughts To Be Heard

by Ramiro Castillo

This poetry / spoken word chapbook was inspired by many teachers I have come across along my way. Some of these include Dr.Wayne Dyer, Stuart Wilde, Alan Watts, Neale Donald Walsch and many others. I am a highschool teacher and wanted to share with my students the poems I wrote with them to cope with any lessons coming forth to their lives or are currently facing, which is another reason why I wrote this book. It took me one school year to write these poems and even though I teach math as my primary subject I wanted to show my students they can take part in their hobbies while still being focused at school. I mainly wrote these short poems for awareness and self growth for myself and to share with others through my experiences that I have faced and continue to strive for a better future. All of these were written with the intent to change the perspective of the reader as they read with an open mind and self look into themselves for deeper transformation.

The Eighth Book of Beloved: Part 2 (Beloved of God 8)

by Forester De Santos

The Eighth Book of Beloved, Part 2, eighth because eight truly is the eternal number of the eternal servant beloved of God the Living and very loving Creator. It is a book about the eternal and the double abundance, all five portions of her because of being truly real as in royal. It is a book about the double gladness and the double joy of God. It is a book about the eternal peace of God and the eternal knowledge of God and is also a book about the real as in royal rebirth of not only man in life to much more or as much more but also the real as in royal rebirth of God to much more or as much more than loving Creatorâ?¦ Now then, in my very simple and very faithful and inspired writings in the form of verses, short stories and even short essays and at times scientific formulas through my personal search and research there are certain truths already done. Thus very joyful and very happy or very glad those that venture to read and lend real attention! All-Year-Round Poems: poems for different occasions

by Kevin Mikhaylov

My teacher liked poetry and always wanted us to write a new poem for a different occasion, holiday or season. These are several poems that I came up with during the school year.

Kissing Boys, Just For The Thrill

by Jennifer Juan

Kissing Boys, Just For The Thrill is the fourth major poetry collection, from Jennifer Juan. An exploration of female trouble. From romance to heartbreak, poverty to unrelenting joy, war, lust, racism, transmisogyny, and everywhere in between. We’ve all got problems, and Jennifer has a lot to say about many of them. Breaking down the expectations and stereotypes of what a woman’s life can and should be, Juan presents women of every aspect, in every situation, in a powerful and raw collection of poems.

“Jennifer Juan, like her name in a British setting, seems out of place and yet very much in tune with the young times she depicts. The collection expresses great vulnerability, rawness and hurt, and reminded me, in its open embrace of the extremely personal and painful, of Sylvia Plath’s poems which seem like desperate operations.” – Jonathan Finch, Author

“Truly fantastic work from a enchanting author, I can only wait with bated breath for what she has in store for us next.” – Ben Mumberson, Author

“This very talented writer engages the reader with verses of truth and devastating irony that lurk in our everyday lives” – kelemchi.co.uk

“Thank you Jennifer, this is beautiful. Made me tear up.” – Trace Lysette, Star of Amazon’s Transparent

An Autumn of Sparkling Love with Rumi: A Selected Collection of100+ Love Poems of Jalaluddin Rumi (All Year Round with Rumi)

by Jalaluddin Rumi

I wrote my first book on Rumi’s poems called “A Spiritual Journey to the Land of Love: 40 Love Poems of Jalaluddin Rumi” back in 2012. It was a short book, less than 50 pages. But, to my surprise, the book received a warm welcome from Rumi’s fans and was sold a few thousand copies on Amazon Kindle Store. “An Autumn of Sparkling Love” is my second attempt to translate Rumi’s poems.

“In Your Light”

In Your Light I learn how to love.
In Your beauty I learn how to write poems.
You keep dancing in my heart, though nobody sees You,
And sometimes I, too,
Dance together with You.
And this ‘Divine Vision’ has become the core of my art.

“A Guesthouse”

A human is like a guesthouse.
Every morning, new guests will appear:
Happiness, sadness, and even badness.

Then sudden realization will come as an unexpected guest.
Welcome and entertain them all,
Although they only bring you sorrow.

Welcome and entertain them all,
Although they cruelly sweep through and empty your house.

Treat each guest respectfully,
For they may all be God’s envoy
To fill your house with new amusements.

If you encounter dark thoughts,
Or envy, or some embarrassing prejudices,
Then laugh together with them
And invite them in.

Be thankful to every guest
Who comes to your house,
For they have been sent by Him to be your guides!

“The Door”

For so long,
I’ve been knocking on Your door
Crying Your name.
When it finally opened,
I was stunned to realize
That all these times
I’ve been knocking
From inside my own house!

“Drunkenness”

Yesterday, my drunkenness
Took me to the gate of love.
But today,
I did not find the door nor the house.
Last year I had
Two wings:
Hope and fear.
Today, I know nothing
About wings,
Or flying,
Or my lost fear.

“Angels”

One day,
I will die,
Wearing wings,
And feathers,
Like the angels;
Then,
I will fly higher,
Than the angels.
I will become something,
You can never
Imagine!
