GROW: A Children’s Book

by Dave Swenson

G R O W is a children’s book that parents and kids will love â?? teaching a true life principle encapsulated within the idea of not wishing for an easy life, but for the strength to endure your own. Life is not about where you are planted but how you grow.

With every book sold, a tree is planted. – Partnered with Arbor Day Foundation

This isn’t just a children’s book; It’s a story about us.

We have lived through the principles illustrated in this book, tested their merits, and have found them to be true.

In 2017, our family suffered the traumatic and tragic death of a brother and friend. Twelve hours after the funeral, we delivered our baby into the world with no time for meds or a doctor; We were fired then lost all of our money; Our new baby was hospitalized with pneumonia; We started a business then watched it burn; We faced buried psychological pain from childhood trauma. After all of that, what proved to be one of the hardest trials was the anger, mental anguish, and denial born out of an inability to accept that so many things could go wrong in such a short time.

Sometimes we are planted in unbelievably difficult situations. But rather than run from them â??rather than dream that they don’t exist â??we should face our own personal storms and find a way to grow because of them. When we started this project we were at rock bottom, so we decided to make our message.

Everyone goes through hard times. It is our hope that this principle of growing can help you and your children as much as it has helped us and ours.

It’s not about where you are planted but how you grow. If you are going through something difficult you can’t change the trial, but you can change what you do about it. Life challenges your resolve; it pushes your limits and it tests your strength. With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction: If you are trying to improve it will hurt â?? That is literally the most natural thing that could happen. But you can take it. If you just keep growing, we promise you will come out on top.

Our message is one we learned at the start of our family’s crazy season of storms. After facing the death of someone’s bright, beautiful light â?? the sun set. As the sun rose again, we saw the beginning of life while we welcomed our baby girl into the world whose nickname brought this message all the way home for us: “LIV.” With life comes pain; with pain comes growth; With growth comes grit; with grit comes results.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our story. We hope you and your little ones find it to be something special.

  • The Secrets Of Forgiveness: How to Forgive the Unforgivable

    by Charanjit Singh Mannu

Note from the author: I genuinely think this book will help you forgive, we all go through traumas that are unique to ourselves, from child abuse, to being cheating on or being heartbroken from the loss of a loved one, the pain is still real, everyone has different coping mechanisms so your pain might seem trivial to the ones around you, but you are the only one that knows how much it really hurts, no one should judge you or compare the pain, as the pain is unique as you are.

This book will simply blow your mind, no ifs or buts, we put our money where our mouth is. So who is this book actually for?

    Anyone that wants to forgive.

Anyone that wants to understand their lives.

Anyone that wants to improve their lives.

But more importantly it will help you understand any one that needs the above, the unique approach allows a modern understanding of the secrets of forgiveness and why they are so important.

Wrote from a first point of view, it tracks the conversation the writer has with a greater power to understand why he got abused as a child and why it is so important to forgive. His personal struggle demonstrates the difficulty of forgiveness.

Here is some of the important parts of the book. Normal font for the writer and the bold for the greater power.

    On the topic of sin

Sin is doing all the things we dream of doing, but we are too scared of doing because we don’t want to go to hell.

Yes, if you “sin” you will end up in hell, so I give you the option of free will to do what you want to do, and then slap you for doing it.

    Was that sarcasm?

Yes it was. I am the creator of light and the bringer of love. Does punishing you for free will sound loving to you? Let’s just rearrange how you think about sin. At the time of the sin you enjoy the sin, then you feel guilty about the sin

    On the topic of cheating

Once the baby is born the mother starts to give more love to the child than her partner/husband/father of the child. The father, due to lack of love, will start looking elsewhere to find it.

I have seen partners that have cheated whilst their partners were pregnant.

The above still applies, but the process has speeded up. The husband/boyfriend stops feeling the love from his wife/girlfriend. As she starts giving the unborn baby more love, he feels neglected.

    On the topic of self-worth

No, son, there is a difference between your self-worth being nothing and being worthless.

Once you grasp how not to judge or be judged, you realise everything around you no longer matters. The pressure to be more than what you are stops. You learn to be happy with what you have. After all that you actually work out that you are worthless, as the contribution you make in one lifetime is so small compared to the bigger picture.

So, why are you making me write this book if the contribution it is going to make is so small?

Because a 10,000-billion-mile journey can only happen if you make one step in the right direction.

A portion of this book’s proceeds will be donated to two charities: Womens Health and RAINN.

Sad! Donald ‘Biff’ Trump is President: The striking similarities between Donald Trump and bully Biff Tannen from Back to the Future II

    by Paul Orwell

“An unsettling comparison between the American President and the beefy bully from one of our country’s most beloved film franchises.” ~Washington Insider

It’s no secret that Back to the Future II bully Biff Tannen was inspired by none other than Donald Trump, but few could have predicted just how similar the lives and careers of these two men, one fictional, one scary and real, would be.

Sad! Donald ‘Biff’ Trump is President compares the two men and catalogs the similarities between them. From the superficial details of height and hair, to the number of wives and treatment of women and to their questionable business practices and political aspirations, this book suggests that America might just have elected Donald ‘Biff Tannen’ Trump, with no way of going back in time.

“Paul Orwell’s short book is more than just a well-written and entertaining attack: it also provides prescriptions for curing our present Trump sickness.” ~Luke Rhinehart, author of The Dice Man
