Rámáyan of Válmíki: Indian Epic Poem

by Válmíki

Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic poem which narrates the struggle of the divine prince Rama to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana. Along with the Mahabharata, it forms the Hindu Itihasa. The epic, traditionally ascribed to the Hindu sage Valmiki, narrates the life of Rama, the legendary prince of the Kosala Kingdom. It follows his fourteen-year exile to the forest from the kingdom, by his father King Dasharatha, on request of his second wife Kaikeyi. His travels across forests in India with his wife Sita and brother Lakshmana, the kidnapping of his wife by Ravana, the demon king of Lanka, resulting in a war with him, and Rama’s eventual return to Ayodhya to be crowned king.

One Day We’ll All Be Here: And Still Complaining About Something

by William Blacksmith

Conclusion is never the end. Oh, it may tie up some dangling threads here and there, but there are always more questions than answers after it’s done. We conclude wars, trails, marriages, races, ball games, even life. What is left over but the intangibles, the roads not taken? I suppose that’s what makes us so fascinating as a speciesâ?¦the inability to conclude with any definite endâ?¦and the audacity to ask, “What If?

Sad

by Pete Marchesi

A book on being… sad. I do not get into much detail. I describe the reasons why, and refer to my condition of homelessness.

Somebody Save Me: Radical Christian Poetry

by H. I. Laryanne

Poetry is not an irrelevant fad of antiquity but a powerful tool of the past, present and future. Whether one is talking about the Psalms of King David, hymns of Charles Wesley, poems of William Cowper, prose of John Greenleaf Whittier or rhymes of Bob Young, poetry has been used by the great God almighty throughout the ages to rebuke, awaken, inspire and bless His people.

Somebody Save Me: Radical Christian Poetry is yet another collection of poetry the Lord may use to awaken His sleeping church and reach the lost masses!

Somebody Save Me features sincere poems from a mother’s heart as well as evangelistic poems from a radical Christian, and deals with issues such as:

â?? Motherhood, modesty, homeschooling and parenting
â?? Evangelizing the lost no matter the cost
â?? Depression, suicide and mental health issues
â?? Evolution and abortion

Somebody Save Me: Radical Christian Poetry was written to enlighten and not merely entertain, to challenge and not merely cajole, to rebuke and not merely rehearse, and to inspire and not merely amuse. Read this book, obey the Lord and change the world!
