136: el plan de China en América Latina (Spanish Edition)

by Daniel Méndez Morán

The Congressional Government: A Study in American Politics

by Woodrow Wilson

This eBook edition of “The Congressional Government” has been formatted to the highest digital standards and adjusted for readability on all devices.
The object of this book is to point out the most characteristic practical features of the federal system. Taking Congress as the central and predominant power of the system, its object is to illustrate everything Congressional. Everybody has seen, and critics without number have said, that our form of national government is singular, possessing a character altogether its own; but there is abundant evidence that very few have seen just wherein it differs most essentially from the other governments of the world. There have been and are other federal systems quite similar, and scarcely any legislative or administrative principle of our Constitution was young even when that Constitution was framed.

Revenue and Supply
The Senate

Don’t forget to love our parents

by Tan Chin Hock

Filial Piety Award Recipient, Tan Chin Hock, cleverly captures a series of light heartening moments through his lens and compiles them into the book ‘Don’t Forget to Love Our Parents’.

He hopes to remind people of their elderly parents and inspire them to do things that make the elderly folks feel cherished and happier. He strongly believes that all elderly parents should have the option to enjoy the blissfulness of a harmonious family during their twilight years.

Professor Li Chenyang, foreword writer and author of The Confucian Philosophy of Harmony, says, “Chin Hock’s book serves to foster, maintain, and appreciate people’s filial feelings, some of the most precious feelings in Humanity…”

Chin Hock’s story and campaign has touched the hearts of thousands. His articles have been featured widely across numerous media and publications such as ‘The Straits Times’, ‘The Sunday Times’, ‘theAsianparent’, ‘FamiliesForLife’, ‘asiaone’, ‘DadsforLife’, ‘Menshealth Singapore’ and many other prestige titles.

************His Story************

Chin Hock blamed himself for neglecting his parents when his mum was diagnosed with depression many years back. Instead of abandoning his parents, Chin Hock chose to stick with them and tackled the challenges with his siblings. Initially, he often felt humiliated and embarrassed whenever his mum hurled expletives at him in public areas during the outings with his parents. Although such incidences made Chin Hock feel discouraged, he persevered in bringing his parents for outings as this is what his mum enjoys most. Today, his mum has recovered and Chin Hock continues to bring his parents for outings regularly.

Chin Hock has been promoting the Asian value ‘Filial Piety’ since 2009. In 2013, he was conferred the Filial Piety award by the Nanyang Confucian Association (Singapore). His family themed photographs have been selected as exhibits in the Annual Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition, one of the largest photography exhibitions in Singapore, from 2015 – 2018 consecutively.

The Practical Anarchist: Writings of Josiah Warren (American Philosophy)

The Practical Anarchist brings to light the work of Josiah Warren, eccentric American genius. Devoting his life to showing the practicality of an astonishing ideal, Warren devoted equal industry to the question of how to make a pair of shoes and how to remake the social world into an individualist paradise.

This will be the first chance for many readers to encounter Warren’s writings, and in many cases their first publication since their original appearance in obscure, self-published periodicals, including The Peaceful Revolutionist (1833), the first American anarchist periodical. Moreover, they often appeared in a bizarre experimental typography.

This volume presents, out of the welter of bewildering writings left by Warren, a reading text designed for today’ readers and students. It seeks to convey the practical value of many of Warren’s ideas, their continuing relevance.
