Nora From the Hollow

by Marlena Owens

In the fall of 1895, in the small town of Hollow Springs, there have been a string of murders. Most of these killings have happened during a fog, causing the townspeople to create superstitions around this naturally occurring event. This time it was Nora Lusk’s husband, Lucius. Lucius wasn’t perfect. He was actually far from perfect. This leads Nora to make a list of three people who were capable of killing her husband. Lucius was known for putting counterfeit money into the church’s offering plate. Therefore, the angry Preacher Cliff is the first suspect. The second, Alice Mabe, was Lucius’ lover. She seemed like the type who would kill someone for the simple reason that if she couldn’t have them, no one could. Lastly, Silas Blanche, saw the way Lucius treated Nora and looked forward to the day he could treat Nora better. Yet, he couldn’t do it with Lucius in the way. Ironically, when the town points their fingers at Nora, she and her beloved friends must work quickly to investigate the twists and tangles of the deep family rivalries, and the small town secrets of Hollow Springs, to clear her name! Just when you think you know what happened and why, another curve ball is thrown into the mix!

Afrika weint (German Edition)

by Ernst F. Löhndorff

When a Sparrow Falls

by Aubrey Morris

Many of today’s historical stories offer total fiction or cold facts of history. When a Sparrow Falls is a powerful story of faith lost and faith restored, fused with reality and drama surrounding actual events. The novel is seen through the eyes of David Spence, a seminary student who lost his faith and dropped out of divinity school after the loss of his mother. He would later serve in the civil war under the command of the legendary General Stonewall Jackson. Spence encounters a moment of truth in the heat of battle.
Rather than a bland spew of facts or an unrealistic gush of fiction, When a Sparrow Falls is a reality check for all of us when facing a crisis of faith in God.

Book One:
John the Revelator

THE ISLAND OF PATMOS is situated on the North girth of the Greek Isle. This in 46 AD was where the outcasts and religious fanatics of Rome were sent to die after being burnt in hot oil.
John now well advanced in years was caught by the Romans while speaking of the Christ and shipped to Patmos.
John, sitting by a creek in solitude looks up and sees a man in the distance. He quickly closes his eyes, mutters some words to himself, and hopes this stranger was not coming his way; but, in an instant, the man reaches his presence and taps him on the shoulder.
John continues to speak loudly as if to distract the man. Yet, the gentleman once more reaches over and taps his shoulder.
John addresses the intruder “Who are you? And what do you want? Haven’t I paid my dues and cleaned off my share of the acres?”
The man interrupts, “Can you tell me where is Nede?”
John widens his eyes and remarks harshly “Nede! Where is Nede? You come all the way over here; left your station to ask me where is Nede? You tell me â??Where is Nede? Why are you being a bother when no one is allowed to ask questions around here?”
The man looks at John “What do you mean no one is allowed to ask questions around here? Is this prison? Are you a prisoner? What wrong have you done? And why are you dressed like that? In these tattered clothes?”
John speaks abruptly “Aren’t you a prisoner? Who gave you the right to question me? I have been left here to do my work; to die in peace and lately, I have been having these amazing visions and just…

Of Such Is The Kingdom, PART I: Discontent and Insurrection: A Novel of the Christ and the Roman Empire (Of Such Is The Kingdom, A Novel of Biblical Times Book 1)

by James Becher

Intriguing historical fiction novel of Biblical and Roman times developed from a prize-winning story.

Powerful blending of stories of seekers from different walks of life who might have lived then.

Step back to Ancient Jerusalem at the time of Christ and the Roman Empire, and ask: What could a cynical, non-conformist dry-goods salesman, a disgruntled blacksmith, and a musing mendicant all have in common? The answer: Down deep, they all seek something better. But will they find the true fulfillment they are seeking?

The non-conformist, Manaheem, Herod’s foster brother, is hired by Herod to foment an insurrection against Pontius Pilate, whom he distrusts.
Manaheem recruits the blacksmith, Barabbas, to be the insurrection leader, to the dismay of Barabbas’ Godly but fearful wife (when he finally tells her).

The mendicant, an unfortunate but pensive young man named Timotheus, joins with an older beggar completely unsympathetic to his musings.

Pontius Pilate sees himself as a weak ruler, but his wife pushes him to be stronger and to even take over Herod’s territory.

Manaheem re-unites with his former wife, Claressa. In need of more money, he tries to blackmail Herod over the latter’s illicit affair, but fails. Read the book to see why.

Herod’s palace is attacked, and suspecting Pilate, he tells Manaheem to go ahead with the mission. Will the insurrection succeed? Buy the book to find out.
