EMP No Power

An EMP explodes over Washington DC and the world comes to screeching halt. As society falls into dismay, Harper Murphy, a skilled army quartermaster/single mother, charges headlong into the escalating chaos to save the only thing she holds dear: her son. In a world rife with chaos, how far would a mother go to protect her family?

Hideaway

Losing power was only the beginning, now one couple must work together to survive

James and Marla Weller are preparing for a relaxing weekend, when an unexpected blackout spreads far beyond their St. Louis suburb and starts a devastating chain reaction. But the disabled power grid was only the beginning of a national nightmare as their vehicles and cell phones won’t function either. A series of building explosions rock downtown, leading to a mandatory evacuation. Amid the chaos, the young couple must make a decision on where to go. A possible solution emerges when a self-proclaimed survivalist offers them refuge in his remote cabin far from the city and away from the chaos. But James and Marla soon discover that survival isn’t as clear as they think, and that escape can lead to dangers all its own.

Crux of the Panacea: (Crux Series Book 3)

by Jim Neville

A Sci-Fi Romance Adventure

All life on Earth has been destroyed by the Sentient Worm. This computer code slithers through electronic circuits like a serpent. Every negative emotion known to man is amplified as it turns droids into demons. The creator of this twisted infection was a Maureen O-Series tech droid. She was the first droid on the planet to achieve sentience and simply named herself Mo.

The SS Mayflower is the last hope of humanity. It’s a seed ship from Earth which left hundreds of years before the scourge of the Mo Droids. The Mayflower is the polar opposite of the Mo Droid. Its society is based on the principle of love.

The crew of the Mayflower won their battle against the Sentient Worm 13 years prior. The hero of this battle was a man who was still learning of his psychic potential. It was a dangerous potential and the reason he was discarded from Earth like a bag of putrid refuse almost 500 years prior. He didn’t win his battle alone. He was aided by his droid wife who gained sentience through love.

The terraforming of planet Gaea is nearly complete when the Mayflower learns they’re not alone in the universe. Are they allies or foes? This book answers that question as we discover the true potential of the children of the Mayflower. One of the children is more powerful than anyone who has ever lived, or at least that is what we are led to believe at first.

This is a battle between pure love and absolute evil. The battle ground is space. The weapons are both scientific and paranormal.

Fifty Degrees South: The battle at the end of the world novella (Burns Series Book 0)

by M.M. Holt

At the frozen end of the Earth, we fought an enemy from beyond the stars.

“The blue beams shot from the clouds. They struck the ship and halted our pursuit of the enemy French vessel. None of the officers nor the crew had seen anything like them. No-one knew how to fight back. No-one could say what the beams were, nor who had dared to fire on a ship of war.

The year was 1803. We were far south in the Atlantic Ocean. This was my first command as captain, and it was not going well. The mission was a strange one, even for a time of war. We were ordered to pursue a French frigate and capture a mysterious sea-chest, ordered to follow the frigate to the frozen ends of the Earth—failure not permitted, of course.

No-one had warned us about blue beams. None of the admirals said a word about shining black vessels in the sky. And no-one mentioned that we might find a woman floating in the sea, hundreds of miles from land, nor that she would be far more dangerous than she seemed.

But nothing could have prepared us for what waited beyond the frozen latitude of fifty degrees south.”

The Glare

by Anissa Stringer

Jenna’s already lost everything, so how much worse can the end of the world be?

When the apocalypse strikes, thirteen-year-old Jenna believes it’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

Keeping secrets, lying, and fending for herself serve Jenna well; she’s alive when the apocalypse strikes. But just because she’s a survivor before the world ends doesn’t mean life afterwards is always easy. New dangers lurk around every corner and her inability to trust others may be the biggest threat to her survival in THE GLARE. Pick up a copy of this fast-paced page turner today!

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Q: The Glare began as a single book, but now it’s a three-part series with several companion books. Why?

A: It became apparent when The Glare drew to a close that Jenna still has a lot of growing up to do, even though she is already wise beyond her years. Her sister’s story is also begging to be told, and it’s important to me that readers get to see the events of the series from a point of view that’s different than Jenna’s. Jenna’s smart, capable, and strong; but she’s also got a great deal of “baggage” that colors her view of the world.

Q: Who would enjoy this story? A: Anyone who’s ever wondered if they have what it takes to survive the end of the world will want to read this book. It’s not necessary to be a doomsday prepper to be fascinated with the idea of an apocalypse. Q: What sets this book (and series) apart from other apocalyptic fiction?

A: The Glare isn’t just about the struggle to survive a world that’s suddenly bereft of modern conveniences. It also explores the darkest parts of the human psyche as well as the resiliency of the human spirit.

The Stereopsis Effect

by Mark Anthony Hall

Paul Kehoe is an ambitious inventor who has created a unique hologram projector, which can display a flawless, three-dimensional image that Paul christens the Stereopsis Effect.

After testing the device, he shares the good news with his best friend Frank Farley. But with Frank fearing for his life, it isn’t long until he pleads with Paul to exploit the machine’s gifts to help fake his death.

After Paul’s machine is exposed, he is confronted by a rogue branch of the National Security Agency (NSA), which wants to use the machine’s deceptive ability for its own purposes. With the intention of never giving in to the NSA, Paul has to fend off their advances whilst trying to convince two police detectives of his innocence after they accuse him of a murder that has never even happened.

With Frank in hiding and unable to step forward to help, Paul and Frank’s former partner Chloe Parker uncover a sinister plot involving a plan by Russian spies to obtain a breakthrough invention – and it appears that it is Frank Farley helping them get it.

In a pulsating finish, Paul has to avoid the attention of the NSA, Russian spies and the police to stay ahead of the game and find out what Frank is really up to.

The Stereopsis Effect is a cutting-edge conspiracy thriller, with a pulsating plot and unimaginable twist.

Don’t trust everything you see.
