Nada prometido (Spanish Edition)

by Eder Giovanni Cervera Martínez

BON MOTS: A Collaboration of Poems

by Kim van Breda

A collection of poetry by Kim van Breda & Dilys Brown (with FULL COLOR VIVID IMAGES), representing far more than just an ensemble of beautifully woven words.

It is a journey of love through each line and verse, between two soul sisters. We have been through so much together, and I think our reading audience will be made aware of this, through these poems. Dilys came into my life, at a time when I needed a true friend. Someone, who reminded me that I counted, and had a reason to believe in myself again, encouraging my writing passion with her gentle words, and correcting my errant ways when needed. Thank you my friend and my sister in Christ.

~ Kim van Breda ~

This has been a long journey of the outpourings of two like minds brought together by a small advertisement in a local newspaper. However, I owe everything to Kim. I could not have told you very much about poetry. The Highwayman, Invictus, Hiawatha were some of my favorite poems and were all I knew of poetry. I would NEVER have ventured into this unknown territory without my soulmate Kim. From the very beginning we “clicked” and understood one another. We started out writing our “great novel” and ended up writing poetry through Kim’s constant encouragement. By the time we reached the level in our friendship of sharing our highs and lows, mishaps (many) and successes (few) we were firm friends and fellow poets. Kim, I love you darling and although we are now separated by vast oceans and miles of foreign territory, we remain as close as ever. THANK YOU for listening, persisting and just being you. For all those bottles of Pink Panacea shared with many laughs and a few tears. Poetry has now become my lifeline, an absorbing and cherished part of my life. BLESS YOU and miss you my dear friend.

~ Dilys Brown ~

We said it perfectly in the lines of this poem:
SISTAHOOD

so here we stand
the two of us
hand in hand
connected in love

been through so much
the two of us
you and me
eternally

kept apart by oceans
the two of us
yet heart to heart
we will forever
remain in

SISTAHOOD
