The Guns of Redwood One Christmas (C. E. Borjas’ Epic Romance Western Collection Book 7)

by Charles E. Borjas

The only thing he wanted to do was build a chapel and minister to the people of Redwood. The preacher rode into the mining town of Redwood to his new assignment; go to Redwood, California and preach the gospel to the people. It happened to be Christmas. He was a recent graduate, one of the first, out of Moody Institute in Chicago. In 1886, Moody had just started his new Bible Institute to train lay workers to go out and reach the people in the cities. Zane was one of the first students of the institute.
Zane Fargo took the quick one-year course and headed west with a burden on his heart to reach the pioneers and settlers. From the time he left Chicago, it took another year to reach his destination, Redwood.
The world was changing and so was the Wild West. But the change was slow. Most of the men were still carrying guns, some women too.
Zane was warned about that from Dwight L Moody himself. But he insisted that a man has a right to defend himself, even a minister of the Gospel. Zane was a fighter. He decided to fight for his right to preach the Gospel and build a chapel in the wilderness of Redwood, California. His determination and courage wins him friends who help him, including a newcomer to Redwood, Amelia, who takes a liking to him. Events that transpire by a gunslinging preacher coming to town bring troublemakers who want to take him on. Outlaws and gunslingers want to take on this new legend that seems to have earned himself quite a reputation from the exaggerated reports of the newspapers. But Zane is not alone as he is joined by another legend who becomes sheriff, a US Marshal, two secret service men, four Pinkerton detectives, and deputies that happened to be in the right place at the right time, but somehow may have never been chosen for the job had the need not arisen when it did.
Amidst all the ruckus, Zane’s romance continues as well as a few more romances that develop.
The Chicago mob comes looking for Zane and all hell breaks loose.

The Book of the Law and the Book of Lies

by Aleister Crowley

“Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. Love is the law, love under will.”

Aleister Crowley’s black magic masterpiece The Book of the Law is the central sacred text of Thelema, written or â??channeled’ by Crowley in 1904, who claimed it was dictated to him by a disembodied entity named â??Aiwass’ while he spent the night in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

The Book of Lies consists of 93 chapters, each of which consists of one page of text. The chapters include a question mark, poems, rituals, instructions, and obscure allusions and cryptograms. The subject of each chapter is generally determined by its number and its corresponding Qabalistic meaning. This is the original 1912 public domain text without Aleister Crowley’s 1921 commentary and without any later additions by others.

As Crowley describes it: “This book deals with many matters on all planes of the very highest importance. It is an official publication for Babes of the Abyss, but is recommended even to beginners as highly suggestive.”
