Figure out whom you want to be (focused, consistent, driven, etc…), and work your butt off towards becoming that person. Think to yourself, “what would this person do?”, would this person press the snooze button? Would this person take this long of a break? Would this person give up? Would this person procrastinate? Once you’ve figured out what you want to become, work towards it.

The first thing you need to do in order to have hyper-focus is to be ORGANIZED. If you have a dirty room or do not plan your day on a daily basis, YOU WILL BE MORE LIKELY TO FAIL. Every morning, have a routine and set your goals. Figure out EXACTLY what you’re going to do down to the minute. This way it’s going to be easier to go on auto-pilot and focus on things that YOU actually need to work on. It’s easier to do something when you’re on a schedule. This way it’s easier to say, “No” if family or friends call or ask you to grab lunch and coffee with them. It makes it easier for you to SAVE time.

Another tip you can do is to break down your tasks into a series of SMALL decisions. Instead of I need to go to the gym. You can make the decision to just grab your shorts, then make the decision to walk to your car, then drive to the gym, etc… That’s a much easier task than going to the gym and working out for one hour. Break down your tasks into SMALL chunks and you will get a nice momentum once you accomplish smaller tasks.

It’s also important to work on your most important task FIRST. You have a finite amount of attention on a daily basis, so it’s important to finish the toughest most effective task first. Things are flexible and problems may appear during the day so if anything arises at least you’ve completed your most important task for the day.
