HOPE IS A COWBOY

by Jaycee Avalon

Matthew Rockwell knows what a broken heart is, having experience it firsthand at seventeen. That was five years ago and at twenty-three he has become tired of saloon women and lonely nights. The woman he’s been exchanging letters with via a respectable mail-order-bride agency sounds as lonely as he is.
When he offers for her, she confesses her hard history. His heart thunders at the injustice of this world, making him realized that maybe, just maybe his heart wasn’t broken. Maybe it was just bruised, and bruises heal in the hands of angels, don’t they?

Note: Although this book can be read by itself, it is the last of the IS A COWBOY Series. It has a very intense, somewhat descriptive, first few chapters which might be hard to read and which some might find offensive. If this is the case you might want to skip this book, or you may skip to Chapter Four. I felt Lina needed to tell her beginning.

I have included a special short story at the end of this book. Happy Holidays 2018!

The Capuan (The World Above Book 1)

by Martin Jameson

Tyler Erickson spends his days getting intoxicated and playing advanced VR simulation games. Sticking to his strict routine of escaping reality is the only way he knows how to cope with his pain and sense of purposelessness. His palliative escapism successfully kept him numb to the world, until he became the unwitting participant in a conspiracy surrounding a scientific breakthrough called Simulated Reality Technology. Upon entering an S.R.T program, Tyler discovers that he is unable to escape the simulation of the ancient Roman world, circa 29 BCE, shortly after the conclusion of the war between Octavius and Antonius. The story follows Tyler through his long life in and around the city of Capua.

The Capuan is a multi-genre exploration of history, humanity, virtue and vice. The science fiction elements of the story have significant implications for what it means to be alive in an advanced technological age, while the historical fiction and alt-history aspects allow readers to appreciate the consequences of introducing ancient civilizations to revolutionary new ideas, knowledge and technologies.

FANTASMAL: EN LAS LLANURAS DEL CAMAGÃ?EY IV (Spanish Edition)

by CALIXTO LPEZ ROSALÍA ROUCO

FANTASMAL.

The Causey Trail

by Voyle Glover

The Old West was a brutal land, filled with much danger, ranging from Indians, outlaws, wild animals such as cougars and grizzlies, and many men who were deadly with a weapon. This land had been populated by early settlers, but had been scouted and explored by the mountain men nearly a centure earlier than the first settlers. A mountain man once said of the western landscape he stood gazing upon: “God ain’t never made nuthin’ prettier than this.”

Sy Causey was a careful man, one used to the dangers of the wild, western frontier. His skill with weapons had been honed by years of living in a harsh land and facing hard men. He’d faced the Apache, twice in a deadly hand to hand combat to the death. He’d been chased for a week by the Comanche in Texas. Only his skills at hiding his trail, at surviving in the desert, and in earning the respect of his enemies with his superb marksmanship kept him alive.

In a casual flirtation with a beautiful woman who challenged him to take a job hunting wolves on her father’s ranch, he quickly learns that the real reason he was hired was to hunt a man–a man some felt was half wolf. Causey accepted the job, loving the challenge of pitting himself against the ultimate predator. Man.

Sy Causey discovered that he was tracking a man with skills to match his own. Indeed, the man has an uncanny ability to evade Causey, whose skill at tracking was second to none. Suddenly, Causey finds himself being the one hunted, and in an explosive exchange of gunfire with this strange man with the instincts of a wolf, Causey is trapped in a crevice and nearly killed. When he is found by a ranch hand, he returns to the ranch, only to discover that the woman he has fallen in love with has been taken by this strange man.

Causey sets out on the trail and soon learns who he is tracking. He knows the man very well. He’d hunted this man before. Indeed, he’d hunted with this man before. Causey also knew that he was in trouble. This was no ordinary man. And, the others at the ranch had it right. This man had all the instincts and ferocity of a wolf.

The knowledge brought cold fear that settled into his gut. He knew this man so well that he understood he was about to take up a trail from which he’d probably never return. It was the only man he’d ever feared.

Get this exciting Kindle-only western fiction book by Voyle Glover done in the tradition of the master, Louis L’Amour. Take a ride on some dark trails.
