La Vida En Verso (Spanish Edition)

by Tomas Guevara

Querido amigo, no te preocupes.

Nothing Is Without Future (The Poems of Piero Rivolta Book 1)

by Piero Rivolta

Nothing Is Without Future is Volume 1 of The Poems of Award-Winning Poet and Novelist Piero Rivolta. Full of striking and sensual images, Piero Rivolta’s poetry reflects his appreciation for beauty wherever he finds it – in women, falling snow, sunsets, Mediterranean cities and the sea.

A series of lyric poems tell a love story – actually two love stories – about a young man who is torn between two women. The first, an alluring brunette, offers an easy-going romance that has no future. The other, a woman with malachite green eyes, puts him through an emotional wringer, but holds out the possibility of a lasting relationship. In the process, the young man experiences love in all its aspects, from passion to melancholy, ecstasy to anguish, and ultimately serenity.

Nothing Is Without Future may not be as dark and erotic as “Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Love” by Pablo Neruda. Nor is it as bitingly satirical as the love poems of Catullus, the Roman poet. Yet Rivolta’s evocative lines reveal as complex and layered an understanding of the emotions that roil the heart of all romantic lovers.

PRAISE FOR THE POETRY OF PIERO RIVOLTA:

“Piero Rivolta’s poetry is a mix of delicate sounds plucking the strings of memory. It celebrates both melancholy and passion. He is what might be called a universal romantic, someone for whom the meaning of an object or scene persists without binding him to a solitary history; but it is his talent to evoke the power of memory that gives his poetry a flavor beyond the mere stirring of words. Though his lines are short, they suggest lasting sentences of thought, ending in a “cry of happiness” for things endured.” — Martin Tucker, Author of “While There is Time: Penultimate Poems”

ABOUT PIERO RIVOLTA

Piero Rivolta is an award-winning poet and novelist devoted to exploring the depth and breadth of life. Possessed of an insatiable curiosity, a love of beauty, and a talent for creating, Piero has applied his sensibilities to not only being the author of eight books, but also to being a designer, developer, manufacturer, homebuilder and philanthropist.

Over the course of his extraordinary life, Piero has had many lives. He was born in Desio (Milan) Italy, and at the tender age of 24, just after earning his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Piero assumed leadership of the family automobile manufacturing company founded by his father, Renzo, who passed away one year later in 1966.

The company was called Iso and until the early 1960s primarily produced motorcycles, small trucks and the famous egg-shaped, front-door Isetta bubble car. Later, the company expanded into the production of luxury sports cars under the name Iso Rivolta, to differentiate from the Iso company’s other existing product lines at that time, which now included snowmobiles and other snow vehicles. The mighty griffon was selected as the Iso Rivolta emblem and lent its name to the company’s most popular model, the Grifo, which raced at LeMans. Later, the company entered the world of Formula One racing under the name Iso-Rivolta-Marlboro.

In 1980 the family moved to Sarasota, Florida, which became their new home and the center of Piero’s future business projects, focusing on building well-thought-out residential communities with tennis courts and golf courses, luxury condominiums, shopping centers and office buildings. Due to his love for nature and harmonious design (inherited from his father), he also donated two community parks, one in Italy, and another in the U.S.

Piero has also enjoyed writing since childhood; in recent years, while still involved in numerous projects, he has spent much of his personal time creating engaging fiction and poetry. His collection of eight books has won both local and international attention and awards. He is currently working on new material for publication.

Mi Atormentada Alma: Pensamientos, Reflexiones y otras Idas de Cabeza (Poesía) (Spanish Edition)

by Ernesto Maki Castillo

SINOPSIS:

(Spanish Edition)

by Ammé Di Angelloved

Democracy for the Players (The Liberal Connection Book 4)

by Paul Anthony Obey

From the series ‘The Liberal Connection’, this fourth book by Paul Anthony Obey explores UK democracy and politics from the perspective of the protagonists with the power.

The wheels turn the way they always have and change becomes mired in the machinations of tied up government. The winners keep on winning and the divide ever widens.

We need new politics, to amass an unstoppable appetite to redress all imbalance developed over decades.

Suspicious and questioning the known truths and long-held beliefs of how things work, morally active and mildly subversive all the same.

If every vote counts, why aren’t we all counting?

This is a collection of social poetry, sometimes free verse, with a liberal conscience and a yearning for change. I hope it provokes.

If I can’t change it on my own, you can, we can together.

It’s not what it means, it’s what it means to you.

Gift: Poems

by Justine Camacho-Tajonera

This is the first collection of Justine Camacho-Tajonera’s poetry, spanning earlier published poems and poems from her blog, Claiming Alexandria, beautifully illustrated by Maisa dela Torre.

“This first collection resonates in its deceptive mildness, where it is expansively lyrical but also intellectually grafted to mature commitments as it spans voids and barriers of cultures, broken affinities, and reckless children crossing back to take their due, even as fragile bridges burn.” – D.M. Reyes

“Justine Camacho-Tajonera explores landscapes of memory and longing with a clear and unwavering eye. Even as she writes of her travels in different parts of the world, her poetry remains deeply personal and engaging. Gift is a splendid first collection.” – Jim Pascual Agustin

Comedy of the Liberal Perspective (The Liberal Connection Book 6)

by Paul Anthony Obey

From the series ‘The Liberal Connection’, this is the sixth book of Paul Anthony Obey and looks at how attitudes have changed and the feel of the UK.

My attitude has changed no doubt as I have grown, learnt and been shaped by experience.

This book pokes a little fun at common assertions that with a tiny alteration of perspective can form a whole new meaning that’s positive with love and respect.

Those with the power, still have the power and we aren’t all counting.

This is a collection of social poetry, with a liberal conscience and a yearning to provoke some thought, some thing.

If I can’t change it on my own, you can, we can together.

It’s not what it means, it’s what it means to you.

stories: From a telephone box

by Steve Price

A word, a phrase can change how people see things and this is what I try to portray in these books. I do not profess to be a literacy genius. I am just someone who uses words to escape the bordom of reality.

Words from the window of thought

by Steve Price

These lyrics are about the thoughts that run through my head at any given time. It could just be by looking out of the window or watching something on Youtube. Past, present or future events.
