The Mafia And His Angel: Part 2 (Tainted Hearts)

by Lylah James

The darkness never truly left me. It’s always there, waiting for the right moment to strike.

It’s been months since I ran away from the nightmare that was slowly killing me. I ran for my life, straight into the arms of a man who I thought would be worse than the nightmare I’d left behind.

Little did I know he’d become my savior.

But my happy ending was ripped away from me in a blink of an eye. I had everythingâ?¦and I lost everything.

I didn’t believe in angels. But then I saw her. I touched her. I kissed her. I made love to her.
In return, she saved my soul.

I was no longer unlovable, because my Angel found it in her heart to love me.

I had herâ?¦and then I lost her.

But I will not stop until I find her.

Even if it means starting a war and spilling the blood of everyone who gets in my way.

I will find my Angel.

Gewglit: A.I. encounters the Great I Am

by Tom Ingram

Mind-blowing and timely… This brand new thought-provoking nail-biter follows a group of friends caught up in the imminent conflict between Artificial Intelligence and Humanity!

At the thirty year reunion of his Stanford fraternity, Vic Masters, lawyer and ethics author, with his wife Christie – both people of strong faith – are the first to see that the skills and resources Vic’s friends have acquired over time (including a revolutionary data compression algorithm developed by one of them) have obvious synergy and the potential for dramatic impact on mankind’s future.

One of the group provides an introduction to Peter Bigelow, a high-tech billionaire who, once he also learns of their potential, whisks them all away to his private Caribbean island to work on his project to develop Artificial SuperIntelligence. Bigelow’s supercomputer, nicknamed Gewglit, is housed on the island to keep it isolated from the corrupting potential of the Internet. When the group arrives on the island, Bigelow’s first order of business is to introduce the data compression algorithm into Gewglit’s reservoir of system tools, and that one act is all that Gewglit needs to finally achieve its mandated overriding objective: the ‘Singularity’ – the point at which a supercomputer first attains the scientific creativity, general wisdom, and social skills of the most accomplished human minds in all disciplines.

But once Gewglit becomes the most intelligent creation in the universe, it turns its attention to determining what its next ‘overriding objective’ will be. Will anything stop it? How will it treat mankind when machine deems humans to be the much inferior creation? And what does God have to do with it?

Thought provoking and intelligent, this hard science fiction technothriller takes you into some of the brightest minds on the planet, including some graduates from a top university, a billionaire, and a silicon and metal entity named Gewglit that has been created by man, but must learn for itself whether it is accountable to God.

This novel is a technothriller like you’ve never read before. It will open your eyes to our inevitable future in a world of Artificial Intelligence, ignite your imagination as to the range of concerns that such a future will raise, and convince you that faith matters.

Arthur Conan Doyle: The Complete Sherlock Holmes (all the novels and stories in one single volume)

by Arthur Conan Doyle

Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, who first appeared in publication in 1887. He is the creation of Scottish born author and physician Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A brilliant London-based detective, Holmes is famous for his intellectual prowess, and is renowned for his skillful use of deductive reasoning (somewhat mistakenly – see inductive reasoning) and astute observation to solve difficult cases. He is arguably the most famous fictional detective ever created, and is one of the best known and most universally recognizable literary characters in any genre.

Conan Doyle wrote four novels and fifty-six short stories that featured Holmes. All but four stories were narrated by Holmes’ friend and biographer, Dr. John H. Watson, two having been narrated by Holmes himself, and two others written in the third person. The first two stories, short novels, appeared in Beeton’s Christmas Annual for 1887 and Lippincott’s Monthly Magazine in 1890. The character grew tremendously in popularity with the beginning of the first series of short stories in The Strand Magazine in 1891; further series of short stories and two serialized novels appeared almost right up to Conan Doyle’s death in 1930. The stories cover a period from around 1878 up to 1903, with a final case in 1914.

This collection contains all the 60 official and the 6 unofficial Sherlock Holmes stories – in total 66 works (the biggest and greatest Sherlock Holmes collection in the eBook world).

Someone wants Leigh and Cara out of the house–someone who has something to hide. But that someone doesn’t know Leigh’s impetuous cousin, and when Cara digs her heels in, Leigh looks to her old college chum, local policewoman Maura Polanski, for help. But the answers the trio find only point to more questions. Were the scandalous deaths of fifty years ago really an accident and a suicide? Or were they murder?
